    hi all,

I'm so glad the good weather has arrived, I am going to go on walks in my lunch break at least 3 times per week. I have sent of for a free kelloggs pedometer (I threw one box away, let me tell you digging through the rubbish to retrieve it for the code put me off eating for, well, minutes) so will be aiming to do 10,000 steps per day.

Well done k9cuddles! Steady as she goes but that type of weight loss (so I understand it) stays off so you do the right thing (as long as you keep up some of the good work/exercise after the sky dive ;) )

Spud....re: sit ups. If you don't want to do sit ups, try just sitting there uprights in a chair and clench your tummy muscles for the count of 10. Repeat as often as you can. Best to start off like that if they are a bit weak.

Or sit on the floor and lift your legs up (even if it is just a little at a time) until you feel the muscles pull.

If you do these little things, eventually you can go on to do other exercises.

    Every little helps honey!

    Thanks LA

Do you mean sitting here hunched over my PC isn't good for the old posture?

Task for tomorrow - move the computer !!!!

lol! :D Yeah, bad posture never helped anyone!

I use a dining room type chair for my pc work at home. I don't know what health & safety would have to say about it but it keeps my back straight and feet on the floor and I don't get back ache (unless I decide I want to hang all over my chair - monkey style - for a while! :rotfl: )

But seriously whenever you are standing there, doing the washing up for example or in a queue at the shop, just clench your tummy muscles then release after 10. Repeat. Whenever you can.

OK it's hardly a sweaty gym workout but you are still using them. And you know what they say...use it or lose it! (That doesn't apply to credit cards & overdrafts people! We WANT to lose those 'unsightly bulges'!)

Our PC is on a very low table, and I am sat here on the pouffe about 18 inches off the ground !!!

Isn't it amazing how much support you lot give.

I've had a bad day today, but made myself go out with the kids and the frisby because I didn't want to let the side down. Had to come home early coz it landed in some doggy doo (yuk)

That's the plan.. I'm not on a diet just "improving" my life style. A girl at work managed to burst my bubble by joining a conversation she wasn't involued in and staying "is that all???" .... in my eyes shifting nearly 5 bags of sugar unwanted excess has gotta be good!

Don't you just love people like that? Was she one of those people who can eat whatever they want and not put on any weight by any chance?
