    Hi everyone

Sorry i haven't been round for a few weeks. Been very busy at work then when I gt home i've been doing tea then bed - or aerobics vid/dvd

So I managed to get hold of Davina - have so far done the first workout "Pump". Really enjoyed it but my legs ached for 2 days after!!

Had a weigh in this morning (I don't go to a slimming club - been to SW before so know it well!) so I have lost 14ib's in 7 wees which is great 2ib per week so i'm really pleased.

Trousers are feeling better again now. Hoping to shed another stone for my hols in mid August so fingers crossed! x

    Had a quick read through

K9cuddles, what a stupid bint - I would of made some comment back - somethign quick on the draw and witty. Either that or sent her an e-mail to tell her that if she has nothing nice or helpful to say than to keeo her wonky nose out.........

badgergal - always fancied badminton myself but never got round to it, plus my oh is good at it so I would need somone to play against.....

Have a good week folks - take care

Hi all...back again after a disasterout month where food concerned...having food in the house & cooking has done nothing for my waistling & consultant told me last week that I mus try & loose some weight (tel me something I dont know!)...in short I'm currently a 5ft nowt weeble weighing in at 14 1/2 stone & need to loose weight as fed up of being in constant pain (back, hips & ankles), tired & so much fat that its quite revolting! Am not going to ww etc as done that before & dont want to start proper until I get back from hols in 2 weeks but will start making changes & using my ww cookbooks instead of the cake making ones!! While making homemade pizza is yummy not good for waistline!! Look forward to getting to know people on a weighloss level! Goal this week to excerise..I have a waddle for life (my words not theirs!) on sunday and need to get back in touch with my woman at the gym. Has anyone tried GP referral for excercise via GP? A great way of getting what is effectvely a weekly counselling session referred by the GP to your local local authority gym...my woman is fab ...also not sure if anyone in Cardiff but would love an excercise buddy if there is?

Jaffa cakes are very low in fat. It could have been worse. You could have eaten a Black Forest gateau!

Next time you feel the urge to scoff, work out the number of calories in what you are about to eat. Then work out an activity that will burn off those calories - washing up? vacuuming the living room? a ten minute walk? Then go and do that activity FIRST. See if you still want your snack when you've finished. Bet you won't! ;)

Hi Cuddlies! Long time no speak (or whatever! :rotfl:) :o

I've been too busy lately to find time for much exercise or home cooking etc but have still lost the odd pound - nothing fantastic or noticeable but better than putting it on :)

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone here has read Allen Carr's book, The Easyweigh to Lose Weight? There was another thread about smoking and lots of praise for his techniques for stopping smoking, and I've heard a lot about him. So, anyway, I popped into the bookshop, read a few pages and decided to give it a try. I've only read the first chapter but it is certainly interesting so far, I'll let you know how I get on. I'm hoping that it might help to shed some light on the psychology behind my being overweight (and eating what and when I do) as his approach is psychological rather than being a counting calories or 'sins' kind of approach.

    Anyone else read the book?!

I'll let you know how I get on with it. Its seems to be centred around changing habits, enjoying food more and understanding why we eat certain things even if we don't need (or even like) them really. As I say, I'm not at the heart of it yet so a bit vague!

I shall report back oh cuddlies :D

I've got the Paul McKenna CD and book, but have been too "busy" (ahem!) to listen to it lately. Maybe time to dig it out...
