I. Went. To. The. Jim. Tonight.
Noel. Was. There.
This is obvious code. But I did an hour of leaping about from wall to wall and stomping. 'Twas jolly fun. What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
Minnie: :T :T :T Well done that girl.
Hope it helped exorcise (no pun intended) any pent up aggression over the plonker/bully type person at work as well.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

ivoryfrog wrote:Hi everyone!
Just found this thread - I normally read the oldstyle board (don't post...just lurk) but happened upon this thread today - managed to read some of the thread but 26 pages is a lot to get through in a oner so I thought I would just jump in with both feet if thats ok?
I am a lot overweight - I weigh 14 stone 10 lbs the last time i checked (on boots scales) and at only 5ft 2 tall - well i am round. :rotfl:
I have tried WW a few times and it did work for me - but this time (after latest baby) it didn't work so I went to the GP back in March and after a few tests I was told I have an underactive thyroid.
I am on medication for this (100mcg levothyroxine per day) but still haven't managed to shift any weight yet.
Not only does this thyroid issue make it hard to lose weight it also can make me very tired some days....which doesn't bode well on the exercise front. Good days and bad days....but I am sure that if I lost some weight I would have more good days right?
Anyway - I have 80lbs to lose.
wish me luck folks - gonna need it!
Take care
Nikki

K9cuddles wrote:Annie that's for sure! I used to drink coke rather then eat.. and when I did it was just comfort food, it's all realisation now days (about time!). I would try fizzy water but I had a bad incident with a glass of it when I was very ill with the flu! Has put me off for life!
I've not gone cold turkey but there are days now that I just don't fancy it, all about control!!! I've nearly lost a stone now.. got loads to go but it's worth it! As for teeth.. everyone comments on how white and nice mine are!! Amazing really... I have had way too many fillings and I'm sure the acid in coke burnt off anything!!
Hi K9cuddles, I'm in the same boat as you except my favourite tipple is Irn Bru (most definitely not diet it's REVOLTING). I need to work on my self control some more, if there's none in the house I don't bother but if I pass a shop I have to get a can or three (how sad am I? ). Hopefully the Paul McKenna CD will help with that problem.:j
Anyway I apologise for butting into your coversation.:o

Well done K9cuddles!
kitasmum - I'm sure you can kick the Irn Bru habit. I used to love Irn Bru when I was younger. My mum is Scottish so I grew up with it. Haven't had it in years though.
No going back this time though. I have gone for 10 days now (cold turkey) without Diet Coke and just get this feeling that if I even have one can (i.e. like Alan Carr says in his book about giving up smoking) I will be back on it. I want to get to about 3 months without it and then I think I will be ok! That dang caffeine is so addictive! There must be alot of us out there who are addicted to cabonated soft drinks!"Debt makes plans for you" - A quote from my friend Catherine. How true!0 -
Minnie. You. WILL. Run. Quickly. Towards. The. Loving. Arms. of. Jim......or thee will be struck down by the wrath of the Demon of the Past and thy most divine boss of your dreams will be left waiting for you there (at the "Jim"....not in hell!) in vain with a most desirous contract of employment clutched in his hopeful hands........that'll be the Freebird on a Ramble having abandoned all good intentions for the evening!
It's Wednesday......no news of exams yet?
Welcome Nikki....you CAN do it cos you're here now! I started off at 15st 5.5 (the scariest moment of my life) and although I'm a little taller, that doesn't make it any easier. I'm now down to 14st 8 and I WILL reach 10 stone...come hell, high water or England actually winning a World Cup....hmmm...maybe skip that last one!
:j :j :j :j Lots of that should do it though:rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Thanks K9cuddles and Annie, I just hope that I'll be off it one of these days!!Murphy's No More Pies Club Member 237 Start Weight - 13st 4.4lb (joined 07/07/08) Target Weight - 9st 4lbCurrent weight 13st 4lb (14/07/08) Lost: 0lb - 56lb to go0
