Hello chaps! :hello: I'm back!
I finished my exams today :T (and sadly, I really enjoyed it! If they'd handed the paper to me on a silver salver with a side order of cream, I couldn't have been more pleased with the questions!)
I've lost a couple of pounds (I can highly recommend burning the midnight oil and fretting for weight loss) but I feel utterly shattered and burnt out. I'm going to rest up and relax with this rather nice bottle of pink sparkling wine tonight and spend tomorrow having a tidy up and a shop to fill the fridge with healthy food. It's time to get back on track, methinks!
New goal - one stone off by the end of August. I'll weigh myself over the weekend and report back.
Have a fab and FFW weekend, y'all! :rotfl::eek: What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
Right everyone, can i join you please? I have almost got rid of my debt ( well by the end of the year anyway!) and I never thought iI COULD DO IT, SO If I have the willpower to do that surely I can lose some weight too? I am just a pound off 15 stone, heavier than I have ever been before, and I have got to do something about it!0

I'm glad to see some of you back!!!
Well my clothes turned up today.. I had to order a size (nearly 2 sizes) bigger from Simply Be! Not sure if it's cause they were named brands and hence cut smaller (I hope!! - well I keep telling myself as too lose weigh and go up sizes is scary!!!). Anyhoo.. it all fits fine part from the hooge belly section in the trouser which I don't have (all rear I'm bums and tighs!!!).
Anyhoo.. I just found out Race4Woman have a 8k mile run on my doorstep in Sept.. IF I crack the RFL ok then I think I'm gonna enter!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 092

Hi all.
Have lost 1lb this week, but the cycling is getting so much easier. I can tackle a big hill near me without much effort now, so really pleased.
Glad you're all still at it too.Sometimes I feel like a pelican. Whichever way I turn, I've still got an enormous bill in front of me.0 -

Hi all
My dieting/exercise is not working -actually, non-existent. I have my knee op appt come through for the initial clinic on 4th Aug and the op on 29th Aug. The consultant had said I need to lose at least a stone in weight before the op. I am now starting to get scared that he might turn me down. By the way, he has no bedside manner!
So, need a walking buddy and a very quick weight loss programme. I am a veggie, my vice is biscuits, cakes and any other dodgy processed sweet stuff. I don't eat choc, eat very little low fat cheese, but like my carbs. I downloaded the Green diet fromt he Slimming World sire butnow I need serious help. I need to lose a stone by 4th Aug and need to find me a walking buddy because I just cannot walk on my own - the excuses are not laughable but more pathetic and annoying.
Any advice/help gratefully accepted.
Thanks.0 -

Hi rkh! Have you considered group walks? Have a look at this link - http://www.ramblers.org.uk/walksfinder/ - maybe there is a group near you? I'm thinking of joining a local group, even though I'm not very fit. Most groups I've looked at have a variety of different kinds of walks to cater for beginners and the more advanced. Hope that helps!0 -
Callisto - I've just emailed my local group. Great idea. Thanks. What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160
