Oh dear what have I wandered into?!
Anywaaay, feeling slightly better today so walked to the supermarket and back, not quite as good as running as only 30mins there and back but better than nothing. AND I never bought any cakes, only chocolate snack a jacks which are much lower fat!
Will def start the running when I'm back at workafter the holiday. Running at lunchtime is VV moneysaving as it saves me having to switch on my old immersion for hot water at home for my shower (is only method of heating water unfortunately and it is expensive!). I use work's shower for free!!0 -

Hi hoopylass. So sorry to hear about your Dad. :grouphug:
Welcome back and good luck with picking up where you left off. Not surprising that you weren't following the plan....not at all. Who would in the circumstances?Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Hi everyone
Am I ok to join along with you all?
i have been following the OS boards for a few months now and am trying to save money as well as pay off my debts.
I started cutting down just over 3 weeks ago - 4 weeks on Thursday 1st June. So far I have lost 6Ibs - just by cutting out crisps and chocolate.
I have always gone to slimming world in the past (went to WW once but didn;t really get on with it) apart from last year when I followed the plan at home - not the classes and I lost 2 1/2 stone. Unfortunately, dad was diagnosed with secodary cancer which was quite far gone and he passed away on boxing day last year - so you guessed it, I put all bar about 2ib back on......
Anyway, I have started to do a step aerobics video at home - i have decided I will do it 3 times a week where possible.
I would love to join to get moral support - can you help?
Thanks

Hi nuttyrockeress (I may call you nutty to save time!!
)
Sure, come on in. So sorry to hear about your Dad too. :grouphug:
Well I say go for it with the aerobics video. I've said many a time...anything that gets you off the sofa and moving is better than nothing and I am sure that the aerobics video will be great if you do it regularly.
I used to go to Jazzercise (a form of aerobics) and it was the best body shaping/firming class I have ever done.
These days (due to lack of funds and a rapidly declining local sports centre where it is held) I am committed to walking as much as possible during the day for my exercise. When it is raining or bitterly cold outside and I don't get as many steps in as I would like, I turn on the stereo (if I can banish my boyf from the room!) and just dance as much as I can to get the steps up!
It's so not a chore because it is fun! I have noticed today (when I was trying on a skirt...I didn't buy it!!!) that my bum/tops of legs didn't look as horrific as I thought they did a few months ago when I started this thread, so I think I am doing something right. And it's all free!
Drink LOADS of water too, it really helps. And tap water is FINE of course, this is DFW after all!
Good luck! Is there anything you are aiming for in particular i.e. a certain pair of trousers or skirt you want to feel great in? I mentioned a while back that having a pair of "barometer" trousers is really handy. When they feel tight, you know it's time to do some work on the old exercise/diet front!
Well works for me anyhowBank Balance: In the black for the moment.
