If so looks lots of fun!!
Was just thinking of something a doctor told my mam years ago, that elastic waists are the downfall of women, and I think he has a point!
Anyway good luck with your diets/exercise over the weekend

I go to weightwatchers very saturday and I do the clerking so I get weighed for free and earn about £2.50 (depending on how many people come to the class) I have so far lost a stone in weight.
Now have decided to give up smoking, so carrot sticks here I come. I have also decided to put my weekly wage of a couple of quid in a piggybank and save the money up and get myself a bunch of flowers once a month with that for being a good girl of packing up smoking. The £100 a month that I would of spent on fags is going towards one of my CC to pay off at the end of very month.

I can't believe that after 3 days of cycling and eating less, I have put on 3lb !!
How can this happen?Sometimes I feel like a pelican. Whichever way I turn, I've still got an enormous bill in front of me.0 -
How often do you weigh yourself uberzoldat? Do you do measurements too, as that is what I'm doing - want to convert some fat to muscle, and muscle weighs more than fat although it is trimmer, so I don't bother with scales. Just the tape measure.
Well, so after my run on Thurs, I came down with an awful sore throat the next day and it is still bad today so I've stayed in drinking hot cups of tea. My boyf says it is cos I'm so unfit the run probably brought on the sore throat, maybe he's right and it was a shock to my system?! Bit of a shame, but I will be back out there when I'm better. Going to get a special running bottle (round with a hole in so its easier to grip) and a pedometer.
I was also very bad on Fri cos a colleague brought in her homemade fudge and I picked at it all day. I have little willpower!0 -
Hi All
I'm in need of motivation. Do you ever find that your eating habits are more related to your emotional state? I do.
Well the other morning, I came out of the shower, wiggled my huge backside in front of OH, he sort of laughed and I said "can't wiggle it too much these days" and guess what he said - "do it just once and inertia will take over" OMG is it THAT bad? OMG. Help, need motivation.
Been walking a little bit as I have seriously bad knees. Eating - well that is a different story. I eat for emotional reasons. I am struggling financially - car MOT will be due in July and I know for sure that it will fail. In fact it will fail so badly that repairs will cost more than the car (H reg). But I have no money to get another one and I need it to get to and from work. So I am eating because I am worried. I took some home-made cards to the local library to see if I can sell any. I have loads of stuff to make cards but I need to sell them.
Today I feel so deflated. It seems to be one thing after another these days.0 -
Badgergal, I usually weigh myself twice a week. Do you think I should be getting the tape measure out too? I wasn't sure if it was possible the weight gain was muscle or not. Fudge eh? My vice is chips lol
rkh001 - how far is your workplace? Have you considered walking or cycling? It would also save the expense of running a car. Or if cycling would be too much on your knees, how about public transport?
Don't worry about your OH, he will eat his words when you lose the weight! (Notice I say when not if, do it to teach him a lesson if necessary lol)

With weighing, I always thought once a week was the best plan, due to fluctuations with water gain/loss etc, same time every week, before breakfast (and after you've been to the loo!) But maybe more experienced others can help more...either way it couldn't hurt to take some measurements...I've taken bust, waist and hips for now and noted them down. Muscle gain is great (and cycling REALLY translates fat in your legs to muscle) as it also increases your metabolic rate whilst taking up less room than fat, even if it is heavier... I know it is tempting to weigh yourself more than once a week but I no longer have any scales (they weren't even accurate) so temptation removed!
Ha, my vice is anything that happens to be in reach, the fudge just happened to be there!
rkh - my eating habits are def related to my emotions! I know I ate all the fudge yesterday because I was bored and fed up at work! As a fellow H reg owner I know how it is with old cars, and would agree that walking or cycling should perhaps be considered - I think if anything drastic happened to my car, I wouldn't replace it as it is more trouble that it's worth...and I don't even use it for work as it's not really feasible in London.0 -
Hi all,
I haven't been on here much lately, but still going with the weight loss. I've managed about 9lbs so far, in about 6 weeks, which isn't really that great but not bad either. I seem to weigh something completely different everytime I weigh myself, one day it's low, the next it's 3 lbs more, then 2 lbs less the next day, think it might be the scales, but it's really annoying! Think the tape measure idea is good, wish I'd done that at the start! def think my eating depends on my mood, it's really hard when the weight seems to fluctuaute so much, it's really depressing when you think you're doing well and the scales say otherwise, puts me in a bad mood and of course makes me want to stuff my face! oh well will endeavour to keep at it! :rolleyes:Full time working mum to 2 boys

Another pound off this week - due to eating less as the gym is becoming a distant memory at the mo.
Oh well. At least if I keep up at this (slow) rate I'll be a stone lighter by my birthday. What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160
