    Go to the supermarket.

    Head for the fridges.

Pick up a pound of lard.

    That's what you've lost.

Feels rather good now, doesn't it? :T
 What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about?

Thanks for geeing me up ms london and minnie spender, I seriously need some motivation, the old resolve is slipping. If I went to the supermarket to look at lard, I think I'd end up licking some cakes or something!!!:p Think I'll go and watch Corrie, Easties then some more corrie and dream of some mysterious (unpainful of course) disease that wastes all your fat away!!!:D

My free exercise for the day is: 11071 steps so far (and still about 4 hours till bedtime!) and about 45 mins worth of pushing the hoover around/dusting & cleaning kitchen worktops/doors down....oh and giving the bathroom a once over too. I am really pleased with that - the majority of steps were done at lunchtime as I had chores to do so I had to go out and walk to town - in the rain!

Confession though: had three squares of Maya Gold

I have just spied my hand weights, I think I may just do some bingo wing prevention exercises whilst I wait for my friend to pop around....

    See you later cuddlies

Sister just text. "Lost 2 1/2 lbs this week" - so she's lost 8lbs in 2 weeks!! She's not even overweight (you could understand it if she had a lot of weight to lose).

She doesnt eat very healthily though (when she does eat!) and is always ill as a result, colds, ear & throat infections etc, so I'd rather eat healthily than be ill all the time.... I dont think she has an eating disorder, but she does take it a bit far!!

Went to Bodypump last night (first time in ages), not too achy today. & went for a swim this morning, only managed 10 lengths though as the pool was PACKED (you wouldnt think so at 7am!!)..

May walk some of the way home tonight, at least to Victoria (3 stops, 3 miles??)....

How are you all getting on?

Neveranymoney - made me laugh about licking the cakes :rotfl:

    xx
  • How come your sister is losing weight ms_london?

Sounds like she's not very healthy at all! Not eating and being ill all the time. My advice would be just to ignore her! I have a friend that is always going on about how's she's lost this, lost that, only eating this, not eating that, and she'd always comment if I'd put on a bit of weight. Did my head in!!! Made me feel so bad if I even looked at a cake!!

    My boyf's step-dad is a bodypump instructor.

I find that it takes me about 15 minutes to walk a mile so that's quite a good way of gauging it, that's at a nice brisk pace- not too slow, not too fast.

Done 1806 steps so far today! Off for a walk at lunchtime again.

    Good luck all!!

Dont think there's a real reason for it - she is thin anyway & tall!! She lost a couple of stone on WW a year or so ago & has been a bit obsessed ever since..... Its no fun to be that obsessed (or for people around her!!)...!!

Thats a lot of steps already - I doubt I do the 10,000 we're meant to!!

Love Bodypump!! It has definately changed my body shape....

Just re-read that - your friend commented on you if you put on weight? C*W!!! Thats not nice at all, noone needs friends like that, its bad enough when you are critical of yourself, but to have someone else say it??!!!

I suppose its about striking a balance. If you are good 90% of the time, it doesnt hurt to treat yourself ocasionally - im just an all or nothing type of girl - no middle ground for me!!

Doesn't sound like much fun! My friend is exactly like that, bit of a diet bore, and she's skinny too!

I've got a pedometer (freebie! ) so I can see how many steps I do, to get to about 10,000 I probably have to walk for at least an hour and a half. Over a day I normally walk for about an hour, when my exams are over I will be walking more in the evening, I live right by the beach and it's lovely!!:D

I did bodycombat for a while, that's great, really de-stresses you!! Have you heard of Fit Camp?

I know, makes me feel pants when she does!! Thankfully don't see her too much!

If you're active enough (apparently!) you don't have to cut everything out at all!!

    hi all,

I sympathise ms london, my sister is stick like and I'm not sure how she does it, she goes out eating and drinking all the time! She seems to decide that she needs to lose a few pounds and it just falls off of her (in the right places too). At least I got the brains eh!
