Debt Free & Fat Free Wannabees??
Comments
-
I've come to the conclusion I am going to have to be either debt free or fat free, but I don't think I can do both.
You see - I have a very small supply of will power which the last couple of weeks has been directed towards my weight with positive results, sadly in the same time period I've been spending like a twit having somewhat negative results for my debt situation.
I did worry this might be the case so now I'm going to decide which to concentrate on - being skinny and debt ridden or debt free and fat.
I'm not what is considered an unhealthy weight for my size, and my debt payments aren't at a point where I am in trouble - but both are things I *really really* want to deal with in order to improve my life.
I feel like a bit of clutz really as you all seem quite strong.
I'm not depressed about it or anything, far from it in fact, I'm a happy chappy at the moment. Just wanted to muse a little and share my thoughts.
I'll add a little to keep me on topic....
Atkins atkins atkins, erm, bit of exhibitionist behaviour and quick 'y'all'.

Hello all FFWs.
I'm afraid I'm going to have to curtail the time I spend on here over the next few weeks. I've just checked my diary and it sadly confirms that my exams are a mere FOUR weeks away.   And that's on top of a full time job and juggling like Billy-o with my finances!
As these exams will (hopefully) eventually lead me into better paid work and hence, Debt Free Ness, I think I should spend my evenings revising now that the coursework is all done.
Stress, in my case, in fabulous for my Fatfree Wannabeness, however. I just forget to eat, so you'll be in my thoughts as I shrink!
So for now, they'll be no more daily ex-uh-cises, although I hope to pop in from time to time to see how y'all are.
All the best to you all, stay strong and keep shaking those butts!
And don't forget to give y'allselves a round of applause :T now and again!
See you at the end of June.

Ah dood come on, I'm sure you can do both. I don't think that you're a clutz or really weak in will power at all. Maybe you should try and change a few habits at a time, alternating maybe? One week concentrate on the habit of not eating biscuits in front of the TV, and the next week on not going to expensive department stores with bad hair. That way I guess you can do both, but maybe tackling both just seems like an unnecessary uphill struggle?
From that you told me I don't think you really need to make massive changes to get to your desires weight so why not concentrate your last efforts to get fat free and leave yourself time to get debt free. I don't think I ever saw your SoA but I do remember you live with your folks so must imagine that your expenses can't be too high each month?
I mean correct me if I'm wrong but it seems like you're in the last furlong of each challenge and to me it just seems like an awful waste to let them beat you now. I'm sure you've got the strength to do it and I definitely know you have the support to do it.
Hmm, *ponders*, good luck Phil. I'm sure you'll do fine at both :cool:0 -

Good luck with the exams, minniespender, your'e exercises will be sorely missed, I especially need them after having my one week weigh in this morning. Have I lost lots of lbs? Have I chuff!!!! I have lost precisely nothing, nowt, nada, zilch, NOTHING!!!!! This has just added to my quickly blackening mood, my little baba is getting chicken pox, which his sister has only just recovered, I've mastitis, Tesco keeps deleting my grocery order everytime i try to check out and haven't replied to my emails, Sainsburys bank hasn't either recieved or cashed my cheque to close my loan account so now I'll probably have 2 loan payments this month (1 to sainsburys and 1 to my new Northern rock consolidation loan) AND I'VE JUST HAD ENOUGH!
(NEVERANYMONEYS head has exploded with pent up rage)
Sorry for my rant, phew feel, better now. I'm going to make some pasta salad for tea and be healthy, (only because there's no rubbish in the house to eat because tescos grocery thingy is'nt working!) and next week I will see results, or else!!!Total debt £20,000 Northern Rock loan:eek:

Your post’s made me sad. I too get days when I feel that the whole world is against me…. but it will pass. In a couple of days or so, you will look back and be wondering how you could get so upset.
Chicken pox comes and goes (you only get it once in a lifetime);) .
The weather is getting warmer. I went for an hour walk in my lunch break today, and it was great!:T
I don’t know what to say? Have a foot bath, do some home pampering. Personally, I even regard going to bed at 10pm as home pampering.
Minniespender
What exams are you taking?
People usually say ‘Good luck with exams’, I say ‘Good luck with the revision!’
I am taking my finals in the middle of June.
And last but not least, Batfink! Stay with us. As many have said here: just eat less and move about more. Amosworks is right it is possible to blitz your debts and extra weight at the same time.
One step at a time, cuddlies!
