Debt Free & Fat Free Wannabees??

Advice needed - wobbly thighs will stop to wobble so much once the walking starts (in the next day or two). But what do I do to stop the fat under the top arms from wobbling like it was jelly? Some exercise needed. I have some weights but do not have any idea of which exercise to do for upper arms.
Also, does anyone know where I might be able to get a waterproof jacket without spending a fortune at Blacks?
Thanks.0 -
Are you talking about bingo wings?0

amosworks - yes, it's the bingo wings I am talking about.
Thanks SoScrooge - off to Millets and also going to check out Debenhams as I have gift vouchers from my birthday.

Glad you like the ame bargainqueen!! A family nickname - who needs enemies eh!! Forgot to say yesterday that one way of getting excercise & encouragement while saving money is to get a GP referral (think they are called excercise pescription in England). I see a lovely woman every week and go through what I've done (or not done!!) each week, plus I get all classes 1/2 price. I've also entered the race for life (2 July!!) & start my first training session this afternoon (free walk in park - glorious sunshine in Cardiff today!!) Not running (bad back!!) but waddling round & am very chuffed to have made my £300 target with still over two months fundraising time left! Hope everyone doing OK...?Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

Hi rkh001 - there was a post a few pages back from Minniespender about arm exercises...have a look for it, it is a good one.
The other thing to do is stand up straight with a weight in your hand. Now raise your arm (the one with the weight!) straight up in the air.
Bring your other hand over to support the arm at the base/where it meets the shoulder.
Now bend your arm at the elbow (no!!? Where else!? lol) so that the weight could almost touch your head/shoulder.
Control the move, do not swing or do it too fast. Feel the muscle working.
Repeat 10 times and then swap arms.
Do this as often as you can!
For anyone without weights you can do this with tins of baked beans! Or filled small bottles of coke or whatever you have.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Big thank you to LookingAhead for the arms exercise and also a big thank you to MinniSpender - will check page 32 right now.
Now, I've been into town , got the rainproof jacket (always an excuse with me "it's raining, can't go walking, don't want to carry an umbrella" for Goodness sake!!) from my Debs gift vouchers and saved further as I had the Daily Mail 20% off vouchers. Saving of £6.00. I walked briskly in town, broused around a few shops and then got a pair of walking bottoms from M&S £9.00 - gift vouchers again. So I am all set to go. If I feel upto it, I will go for a proper walk this evening - can only do so much:-)
Thanks to all of you who are inspiring me.

Fabulous rkh001, you're all set! Great to see you go from needing motivation to being an inspiration to all of us, enjoy your walk
Thanks, again, to Looking Ahead and Minnie Spender for the exercises - so far I have restricted myself to reading them and laughing (a lot, must be some kind of exercise?! :rotfl: ) but I think I may actually go back and copy them all into a word document, then I can print them and take them into my room where housemates won't laugh at me, you see?!:rotfl:
I won't be doing any this evening though, I went to my aquafit class this morning for the first time in 4 weeks (cos of easter hols) and am really feeling it now!! Nice feeling though
