Went on an organised walk yesterday and was assured by the group leader that the route wouldn't be too difficult. Two HUGE hills and three and a half hours later we finally returned, it was pure torture! Had to have a flapjack in the cafe to recover afterwards. My legs are still really aching today...

Still haven't weighed myself, definitely tomorrow... if I haven't lost something after that mammoth walk, I'll be rather annoyed!

Wow well done Callisto! I do hope you lose something but you've got to realise that losing weight is easier done slowly over a longer period than all at once with a huge effort, so if you don't get the results you want please don't get down :( Go out and walk the hills again :) Good luck!

Callisto, wow good for you, that sounds lovely. I live in the flat Fens and you have to find a cycle bridge if you want a hill! :rotfl:

Always remember muscle weighs more than fat. Not suggesting you have turned into Arnold Schwarezenegger overnight but if you are starting to do more exercise, that is something that has to be factored in.

As well as weighing yourself, get a pair of "barometer" trousers i.e a pair of trousers that sometimes feel tight and when they do you know it's time to lay off the hob nobs! ;)

If they start to feel looser but the scales suggest otherwise then don't worry too much - it's just the muscle thing. But (I assume you are female!) don't worry, you won't ever look like a body builder...unless you take the relevant hormones as well! ;)
