MinnieSpender flinches onto thread like Wile Coyote, dashing in green satin cycling shorts (gut spilling over the top) and a Motorhead T-shirt. She is unable to sit down comfortably, but plonks herself on the floor.

Hi there, y'all! Ah hope y'all feeling a little tender in the rear after yesterday! Ah sure am! Ah promised you work on y'all bingo wings this fine evenin' and ah ain't one to let my homegirls an' boys down!

Puts on suitable bingo wings working music - in fact, it is The Chicken Dance.

OK, y'all! I want you to get off that chair and join me here on the floor! Butt on the floor and feet flat on the floor so that your knees are bent. Now ah want y'all to place your arms behind your backs, hands flat on the floor with your fingers pointing to your butt!

Now, ah want you to bend your arms slowly so you lower yourself to the floor and raise slowly up again!

Down and two and three and four and up and two and three and four!
Down and two and three and four and up and two and three and four!
Down and two and three and four and up and two and three and four!
Down and two and three and four and up and two and three and four!
Down and two and three and four and up and two and three and four!

OK! Sit up now and shake y'all arms over y'all head!

And shake and two and three and four!

    Give y'allselves a round of applause! :T

Ah'll be back tomorrow to work those abs!

MinnieSpender collapses onto the floor with a beatific smile.

    Hi all

MinnieSpender, your posts always make me laugh (well... almost always, otherwise it will look like I have some sort of laughing disorder). I hope your talents are not wasted.

I have not been here for a while – too busy chasing kids on the beach in Brighton bank holiday weekend and then sleeping like a log.

I have not done as much yoga as I wanted, but..... somehow managed to lose about 2kg (something around 4.5lbs). Me theory is it was due to walking and not entering into 'eating competitions' with me family.

Have a question. I was thinking about healthy (and cheap) alternatives to the ‘devious’ stuff (crisps, choc, biscuits, etc). When I fancy crisps, I get some houmous and carrots to help me cravings.

Has anyone got any other ideas that work for them? Like, what could be a healthy alternative to biscuits? Or cakes?

I need to go and revise for my exams, but instead I am waffling about food.... sad!

This summer weather is doing a power of good for my excercise quota. Went for a lovely long walk on the beach this afternoon - really did me a power of good. Plenty of fresh air, made a start on my tan and lots of fat burned hopefully. Even managed to watch my housewives this evening without snacking!

Moneyspinner, I'll try your excercise shortly, if I never post again its because I've snapped..... ;)

Thanks for joining in my laugh-in, SoScrooge. A good giggle is worth 750 calories, so I'm merely doing my bit!

Good on you for losing 2kg! :T Hurrah!

Healthy alternatives? Personally I'm an apple monster. Crunch crunch crunch - but they only keep the doctor away if you throw hard and have a good aim.

How about celery? Not everyone likes it, but I do! Rice cakes spread with a smidgeon of honey is good for a sweet tooth. Dates are good, as are other dried fruits, but don't go mad as they are high in sugar. A small handful of nuts. Yoghurt. A mug of low fat hot chocolate. Banana! Oat cakes are crunchy good news too.

Don't eat them all at once though!:rotfl:

Thanks for all the entertainment MinnieSpender, much appreciated and enjoyed :D

I have been tempted to do your exercises but then put off by the thought of my housemates laughing (even more than I would be!). My computer is in the hallway so not terribly private!! :rotfl:

I'm off swimming tomorrow and planning a nice walk at the weekend, at our local National Trust property. Swimming will be 20p for the locker and I used to work for the NT so free entry for me, fat-busting and money saving :j

Have a good day tomorrow everyone :D

    Hi can I join?
I am going to pay myself a massive 5 quid for every pound i lose (i need the incentive!!) and put it in a jar to only be spent on the half stone mark and only then if I maintain that half stone mark for a week :)

I've already lost some weight but need to keep losing and i'll just take it a half stone a time.

This board has helped me save when I have never before so maybe it'll work for the slimming too :j :j :j

Morning all - Just wanted to let you know that I have now lost 1 stone 9.5lbs. So another weight loss for me. Am up to about 40 miles a week on my bike. I AM GOING TO BE 9 STONE BY CHRISTMAS!!

I watched 10 years younger - bikini special last night. The woman lost 8.5 stone in 8 months (went from a size 32 to a 12). Really bad spare skin problem. I am going mad trying to tone up so I don't have the problem (I want to go from a 20 to a 12).

Working extra hard this week as want to lose 4.5lbs to get my 2 stone award at slimming world.

    Keep going guys!!
