I tried a few fitness DVD's but I didn't really like them TBH. Something that worked for me is a high energy dance mix CD of some really good "get your body moving" songs and leave it in the main CD player in the lounge. Then whenever you do the ironing or some cleaning or anything else in or near the lounge, put it on and you bop about about whilst doing whatever it is you need to do anyway and most the time you don't even realise. It's like killing 2 birds with 1 stone!

The thing is with a dance DVD you've got to make the effort to get dressed in to your workout gear and schedule time to put it on and stuff which all requires willpower, whereas if you have a CD on in the background you get drawn in to it and you're jumping around regardless of what you're wearing or doing. I'm sure you'd get more exercise out of this than trying to make a few hours of time each week to watch a specific DVD.

But of course, whatever works for different people is great. Maybe a combination of both these methods? Very keen to hear other's thoughts :)

    Nooooooooooo!!!

I've been so virtuous with going to the gym this weekend that I'm in pain today. It's that "heh-heh-heh-I've-been-to-the-gym-and-it's-working" kind of pain, but ouch!

Serves me right for trying to look tremendous for the date tonight. As it is, I will be attending looking glam on a zimmer.

hi there, have been lurking about for a few weeks now, trying to pluck up the courage to write something. Can I join your fat free club? i think i've about 4 stone to lose ( I've not weighed myself in about a year, too scared) Have been putting my mega weight gain down to just having had a baby, but bubba is 6 months old now, don't think I can use that excuse! Why are all the bad things so darn tasty?!

Because all the manufactures have had many years working out how to trick our brain in to thinking most the crap we eat is good for us. But not all good things are tasteless. Take strawberries, grapes, cherry tomatoes, olives and baby onions for example. They're like mother nature's box of Celebrations but much healthier :)
