(Now what was I saying about not needing a lot...?)

Well, I'm feeling very good today, just been for a long walk with the dog (plenty of buttock clenching!). There was no-one else in the park so was able to have a really good game with the ball so hopefully she'll sleep for a while!
I realised when I was walking that I haven't had any chocolate for 2 days! Doesn't seem like very long, but is for me! :j

You guys really are an inspiration. I think for us it's as much about exercise as about food - we eat vaguely ok, but don't do a lot so ....
I sent OH over to his parents last night to swim (125 laps apparently - small pool :rotfl: ) , and went on the rower (25 mins) whilst he was there. I have achey knees this morning but a good amount of satisfaction for a job well done. We both stood on the scales in the changing room at the pool the other day and I'm approaching 11st, OH approaching 16 :eek so have decided I'm NOT going over 11st again, and am going to fight it. Today once washed and dressed the kids and I are going for a walk. Pushing 2st little miss fairylights in the pushchair down (and up) the hill again may do wonders for my ever increasing butt!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 002 :rotfl:0 -
Shocking week for me but the scales stayed stable at 11st dead on this morning.
Nothing lost, but I've done it before and can do it again! Back to normal this week, starting with a couple of dance classes this afternoon. Also just got in from an hour's walk this morning so hey ho, back we go to debt and fat-free wannabe lifestyle!
Good luck all! What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
well guys its sunday again! hows your weekend been? mine hasnt been too bad - spending all day decorating today and so that should burn some calories!
here's an idea - what's your idea of a 'perfect' day in DFW and/or FFW-stylee??
Mine would be waking up early (almost unheard of!), have a leisurly breakfast of nice fresh strawberries, rasberries & melon which i had bought (reduced to 10p of course) the day before. Then i would go for a long bike ride with a group of friends in the countryside - probably stop at a nice pub for a healthy lunch in the sunshine. And then in the evening my mates would come round for a 'bring a bottle' type party and chill out watching DVDs or playing poker (not for real money, i'm rubbish lol)0 -
G'day Cuddlers!
Watched the match yesterday and drank diet coke, went to Theatre and drank water and during meal afterwards I refused starters and afters, had just one glass of wine and a main course of seared yellow-fin tuna with a gorgeous salad....AND I got home to find OH and mate had just got in a chinese takeaway and I resisted that too.......this morning OH bought me coffee, papers and toast in bed (nice granary toast bought for 10p in Tescos by unusually smart thinking OH)......now I'd call that a pretty good 24hrs......fun, healthy and cheap.....now what would make it really perfect is a weigh-in with a 5lb weight loss...hehehehe.;)0 -
Good afternoon everyone
Another 2lbs lost this morning
Question for you;Started my diet weighing myself on normal scales then used Boots points to get electronic ones.Trouble is,electronic ones say i weigh 1/2 stone more
I know the electronic ones are more likely to be correct but should i chart my weight loss on the electronic ones or normal ones ?
ThanksOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 440 -
Hi Sunnydoo.......I'm afraid to say I'd trust the electronic ones! I thought my normal scales were fine until I went to my first WW meeting and discovered to my horror that I was nearly half a stone heavier than I thought. OH brought his electronic ones round from his house and they're exactly the same as the WW ones.....sad but true!
Well done for another 2lb loss!!! :T :T0 -
I'm supposed to weigh myself tomorrow, but after a bit of a wretched day at work, I felt that a few beers (mainly for the BF) and a curry would cheer me up. However, now I feel bad for "cheating" and i spilt some ghee on my favourite jeans. I somehow don't think that will come out and its not exactly a good shade.
So, from a DFW and FFW view, yesterday was a disaster. Everyone on here is doing so well though, that it has inspired me.
Start afresh me thinks. How long til pay day?

Try putting some talcum powder on the spilt ghee (garnment has to be dry) and leave it overnight. Afterwards brush of the talc, and rub some washing-up liquid (fairy, tesco's any will do) and a bit of water on the spot. Put in washing machine and wash in ful cycle.
It should do the trick... Let me know how it went...
Does oxy action work on ghee I wonder?0
