Hey
Can i join your gang please? Or should that be 'cuddle' I've been following this thread for a while and i would like to join.
It was my birthday yesterday and i'm determined to make this year a year of fitness! I also need to lose at least a stone and so hopefully the two will go hand in hand.
My diet is pretty good already - lots of fruit, brown rice etc and im a veggie so lots of those too! I've decided to limit my chocolate intake to 1 bar a week (that is going to be veeeery hard to stick to - especially as some kind person bought me 6 creme eggs yesterday which are currently talking to me from the cupboard)
Im already a member of a gym and use it 1-2 times a week. I want to increase that to 4-5 times and focus on training to run 10K aswell as do some Body Pump classes to tone up.
Wht do you guys think? Any suggestions or extra ideas for me??0 -
Hi crazyscientist, welcome aboard.
Sounds like you are doing all the right things so I am sure you will make progress quite quickly.
Only adding: make sure you drink lots of water as it also helps metabolise fat (I have read) and will help you feel full. If you like chocolate, you will not find it so hard to cut down to one bar a week if you have an Option sachet once a day. A fraction of the calories but still chocolatey. Also, when you do buy chocolate, only buy something like Green & Blacks or something where the cocoa value is high (65 - 70% or so) as it is SO rich you don't need a lot at all. I barely touch anything else these days, just a few squares of Maya Gold every other day or something.
My OH bought my a Lindt dark choc bunny for Easter...it lasted 4 days! A cheapie milk chocolate egg would probably have gone in a day....
Good luck and again, welcome!
PS I have also weaned myself off of Options sachets by going with the "less is more" approach with Green & Blacks choccy!!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

it has been a bad week for me this week, i think easter left me with a chocolate cravings :rotfl:
I have not been excercising and only went for one real walk, plus i have been indulging in treats so i am not looking forward to my weighing myself this week
Lets hope i do better in the last bit of the week

I think Options is great, especially the mint one, it really stops me feeling hungry!
QueenB don't worry about falling off the wagon every now and then. I didn't feel like taking the dog for a walk this morning, so I just told myself that it was my one day off this week and I'll go tomorrow morning. If you start feeling guilty about not doing something, it will only make you feel worse (in my opinion).

Got weighed yesterday, my dreams were wrong... didn't loose 12 lbs...only lost...9 lbs!!!! :j still not bad for 2 weeks!
Do I deserve chocolate??? Should I walk to Aldi to get a bar or should I just be lazy, stay home and study?
I know this is an old one but... Inside every fat woman there is a slim one screaming to get out, if you give her enough chocolate she will eventually shut up!! LOL0 -
