I thought my normal scales were fine until I went to my first WW meeting and discovered to my horror that I was nearly half a stone heavier than I thought. OH brought his electronic ones round from his house and they're exactly the same as the WW ones.....sad but true!
Well done for another 2lb loss!!! :T :T
Oh no! now I'm worried I weigh half a stone more than I think I do, and I'm already enough over weight! Have been really good this week, have eaten nothing but healthy food and done exercise almost everyday, and it just doesn't seem to be doing any good! although official weighing day is tomorrow, so I'll have to see if I've lost anything then, am not holding my breath! Oh well, will try to be super good again this week! Maybe I ought to invest in some digital scales?

I've been reading this thread for a while now. I've been putting off committing myself to lose weight - but it really is time now. Last Christmas OH and I did really well, I managed to lose about 2.5 stone (from New Year '05 to June '05). I was about 13st 11 and got down to 11st 3. I never really managed to stay 11st 3 (I think I saw it on the scales for a few days
) but I did manage to stay at about 11st 6 for about 6 months.
Then I lost a good friend and Xmas came and went as did the motivation.
(I can't believe how really focused I was).
OH and I have been off this week and been a bit naught on the food / exercise front. Today however I feel really good about myself. We went to the gym for over an hour this morning and then went cycling this afternoon (only did about 8 miles but it was the first time we've had the bikes out this year).
God knows how my body will cope tomorrow though  :rotfl:
I'll check what I weigh tomorrow and post it and go from there - would love to dip under 11st (which means approx 1 st).
The only thing is that it's all going from my top half - and my thighs ain't shifting. Any advice?0 -

Hi there Wizwoo. LookingAhead and I had a conversation about this very topic - have a look at the bottom half (!) of page 38 of this thread for some ideas.
Good luck! What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
Thanks for that MinnieSpender. The thing with lunges and squats is that I start the week with good intentions but that drifts by day 3 or 4
.
Some how I'm more driven in the gym (probably 'cos it's costing me!). I'm a bit addicted to the cross trainer. I have to be careful of the treadmill (a bit of a dodgy hip).0 -

You can always crowbar squats and lunges into your day. I do mine in the lift (if I'm alone) or while I'm brushing my teeth. Multi-tasking, eh? :rotfl::eek: What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
I think I could do this with lunges. Can't see myself getting away with squats at work without a few funny looks :rotfl:
My weigh in this morning 12st 0 and 2 oz
Aim to lose half a stone in the next 4 - 5 weeks. Will keep you posted.0 -
Morning all,
After a very rubbish couple of weeks and a total lack of motivation this morning I'm weighing in at a hefty 12st 5lb, some 3lb gain in a fortnight.....
However, I'm feeling inpired by the sunshine so I'm starting back this week.

Hi everyone this is my first post!
Just wanted to say I love this site and have been checking it every day since Feb 06.
It has given me so much hope that i can change my way of life and get both financially fit and physically fit.
At moment 3 stone overweight and 17,000 in debt but have arranged payplan repayment scheme and today will start to tackle my weight.
Thanks so much for the motivation.
