Welcome bargainqueen to the cuddle!! :) Its so nice to have an Australian here - as when I'm thin and paid my debts I'm coming over for a big long holiday.

I am on quite a high today - after a snack free day yesterday I set about the ultimate challenge.....watching ER without attacking the cake tin/biscuit tin/fridge. And I managed it! Got rather peckish at the adverts but found myself quick little jobs to do instead and felt very pleased with myself when it finished.

I think I'm on a bit of a roll now (not literally - though I have to be careful walking down hills as there is that risk :) ) - under 12st here I come.

    Thinking of you all today
    Phil

Whey Phil....excellent effort!! :T And didn't it feel good when you made it? I managed to get through watching Prison Break without a glass of wine....I'm saving my points for tonight's big match!

Thanks to all the posts in the last 24 hrs for making me laugh out loud.....all that stuff about walking (OMG - I already do that parking at the far side of the car park thing) and the cabbage soup....oh lovely...did you eat it I wonder??

Welcome bargainqueen! I'm also a kilo person but am forcing myself to use stones for this thread. My lightbulb moment on 3rd April was a shocker so I know how you feel......as does everyone else here. I'm doing WW at the moment and I'm happy to pass on any info from my book to anyone....and Amos nearly had me convinced too as I did Atkins before and it was great....and well said - I hope he's still lurking too AND that he's well.

Now Cuddlers.....morning motivational here.......if you're thinking "Oh no, I've only lost 10lbs and I've still got X to go".....why not change that lbs lost to the percentage of the total........it looks much more that way I find.

Weigh in tonight....wish me luck for I have sinned and the digital scales doth tell the dark truth, unless they be inaccurate, for which I would give thanks to the Lord of Shiraz. ;)

Oh I like that - I've lost 9% in total so far!

Well, I am an Australian living in England, so between us we sort of even out I guess. :)

    Well done Hoopylass!

Minniespender - you crack me up. So did you go for a cake then? If it's any consolation I walked in the door from work, didn't even take my coat off and opened the fridge and ate two McVities chocolate biscuits.......my only excuse is I needed to take a tablet "with food" and that was all I could lay my hands on. It's TRUE!!

I can report though that yesterday I went for nearly an hours walk at lunchtime and today I also walked for about half an hour although this was a bit fragmented.

Tonight I have done some leg exercises and some exercises with little hand weights to try and start toning shoulders up again.

I've also been dancing around the lounge (whilst OH has been in his study!) to Goldfrapp & Gnarls Barkley......I feel liberated. Or guilty about the biscuits and the G & B chocolate I also had earlier (after a great big dinner of vegetable chili & brown rice). I can't decide which.
