Drat.
Although actually.........
I've been doing 40 sit ups a day, so once the fat disappears (WW sounds gorgeous!!!!!) I will have a 6 pack, like that fit WAG from the world cup (you know, the one posh spice thought was fat:eek:    ).
At the moment my 6 pack looks like a party seven:rolleyes: .A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

It's in there, ali007 - it just needs to get out!
I have abs of steel (according to my trainer at the gym) from years of yoga. I find sit ups too easy so he's got me doing wild things with medicine balls (sorry - reading it back that sounds so show-offy - not meant!). But, I too, am covered in flab. Nice to know that once the flab has dispersed, my six pack will be ready for it!

Haven't read all this thread, it's too long.....but is there an OFFICIAL FFW cub, like the £2 savers one, or DFW? If so, can I join?
Lost three stone between 2002-2004......moved to Spain - have put nearly all of it back on! Problem (I think) is that I live in the mountains...everywhere is uphill! and I don't like walking uphill, especially in the heat. I walked a lot when I lived in a city in the Midlands!
Anyway...a bit of motivation to lose weight wouldn't come amiss....I'll have to cut out the beer and tapas.
Haven't got a clue how much I weigh, I haven't got any scales, but I'll be able to tell by when my size 12/14 clothes fit again.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Hi seven-day-weekend (that sounds great by the way! How do I get one of those?).
No this isn't really an official club - more of a thread to offer advice and support on how to get fitter and lose a bit of weight in a debt free way. I can't afford to join a gym you see (and not sure I would use it even if I could!) so I started the thread looking for ways to get active for free - or at least very cheaply.
Can you do more walking in the evenings when it is cooler? Walking (especially uphill) is such a fantastic way to lose some weight slowly but surely and that way it is more likely to stay off. It's also been really useful for me with regards to helping tone up my legs and shift some lard off my ar5e too! For free, which is even better.
Do you have a bike? Cycling is also excellent. Swimming pool anywhere near? That'd be fantastic especially if you are in a warm climate.
Yes cutting back on beer & tapas will help too. I think we've mostly all realised on here that we need to step up the fresh fruit & veggies and look closely at our diets if we want to lose a bit of weight. Which is also good for the old grocery shopping bill too.....Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

OK, if everyone else is too chicken then Freebird (cluck, cluck) will do the asking.
Minnie, pray tell......what are medicine balls, what wild things are you doing with them and is it legal?
(Glad you approve of the awatar.....tis of course the pic you sent me which I couldn't resist picking up...oh if only....):D0 -
And welcome to our "Cuddle" seven-day-weekend! Well said LA, couldn't have put it better myself, but then you ARE the OP and Head Honcho of the Cuddle!0

This is what he makes me do with them...freebird65 wrote:and is it legal?
Barely!
I don't look like the lady in the video yet - but I'm working on it!
Medicine balls can be quite heavy, but you could modify the exercise using a Swiss ball (you'll need to erm, "open wide" for that) or beach ball. Make sure you're squeezing your abs in tightly while you're doing it, too. What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160
