Wow! I didn't think I could feel anyting this early. This will be my first baby but I did have a previous pregnancy which I had terminated at around 17 weeks (long story, sure nobody will but please don't judge!).

I really hope it was baby though, as that means I should feel it again! It was really different to any other feeling I've had though so I guess we'll see!!!

Are you sure about your dates? You may be further on?

I had a scan last week, Tuesday, and they told me there I was 8 weeks 1 day, which would make me 9 + 1 today. I'm not sure exactly how accurate the scans are but I guess baby couldn't have been much bigger otherwise they'd have given me a different date! My ov was really irregular so didn't really know what my dates would be until we had the scan. (LMP was in March which would have made me about 16 weeks now or something by regular counting methods!!!!)

Suzy, my last day is Friday 24th (next fri :j) and then I have a week off on AL. My ML starts on 3rd Aug :D TBH, I seem to be coping just fine. I know I have incredibly lucky to not have any pregnancy related symptoms, no pain, no sickness and generally I'm sleeping fine too! I feel just like the normal me, but with a bump :D But I am willing to admit I sit on my bum all day, mostly on here cos I have passed over a majority of my work load, my commute is a fairly easy 15 min train journey, but I have had to start driving to the station as the 20 min, uphill walk home was beginning to be a killer!

*please don't all hate me, I am expecting karma to kick in with a horrid labour or a devil child :(*

That's just like me. I am due next Sunday but i am working until this Friday and then will see if I want to pop into the office next week (week 40). I travel on the tube every day but it's not too bad really and I also sit on my bum all day. I don't know how people with a physical job (or even just standing all day) cope though!
  • I wasn't told not to do the breaststroke but I found it a bit painful/twingy after 10 or so lengths, maybe it's the twisting of the hips?? So I just decided to switch to crawl and walking. I would happily have carried on if I'd felt OK.

I feel like I've been pregnant for at least a decade! So much has happened since November when we found out.

Right, this will be a long one but first of all I have news on Hypno.

She is fine. She went into hospital yesterday lunchtime and they kept her in, but the bleed wasn't as scary as the last one, she said, and she is trying to persuade them to let her out today although they want to keep her in another night.

She has no internet access so is bored out of her mind, bless her.

She's had steroid injections to help baby along and they are going to give her a C-section the first week of August when she is 37 weeks. It's possible they may try and keep her in hospital but she's trying very hard to be let out!

I told her that all her MSE friends were worried and I think that made her feel a bit better.

She has promised to post as soon as she gets out of hospital, or if they keep her in she is going to try and get her OH to buy her a dongle.

In case you all fancied a laugh.

I told OH the other day that I had read that if he puts his head in the right place on my stomach that he should be able to hear the heart beat. So he puts his head down with a look of concentration on his face and I am trying not to breathe in case it is too loud when all of a sudden I feel the baby kick just where his head was :rotfl:
I had tears streaming down my face from laughing so much. He is never going to live that down and our child will be told that when he was in mummys tummy he kicked daddy in the face :rotfl:

Mine did that too! Socked OH right in the ear! :rotfl:

Really struggling to find some nice, casual and cheap tops that are long enough to wear with leggings. I've been searching eBay for tunics but they're never what i want :( Any ideas??

I bought this http://www.mandco.com/Short-Sleeve/Mono-feather-print-top/invt/1087673dkaqua the other day and it's great for over trousers and leggings. It's not maternity but it has a lot of room in it.

I know this post is a spammer but has anyone looked at the post about the nappy wardrobe real nappies offer? I had to chuckle as one of the big adverts is for a big pack of MINT GREEN nappies!

Skinty, not laughing at you but just made me smile as everyone said mint was difficult to come by :o did you get the dye out of yours? xxx

It mostly came out, but the blankets are still a bit mottled. I have now got some Milton tablets but not sure if I use it as per the instructions for sterilising and soak for 15 mins or do it stronger/longer?
    Oh Yes! I get:
You must be really struggling to work in this heat
Me: Erm, no. I'm in an air conditioned office, I'd actually rather be here than out there :p
Oh not long now, are you getting scared?
Me: Not really, I don't really think about it, what will be will be...
I bet you can't wait for it to be over
Me: Actually, I'm quite happy and I'm really gonna miss him not being in my tummy. ATM, I'm happy for him to stay there for as long as he wants :D

I think me responses do shock some people, lol!

My friend said this to me yesterday after i told her about my horrendous Braxton Hick last week: Were you frightened?

Er, no. I was excited that labour may be starting, but not frightened!

    And finally, CONGRATULATIONS Tara!!

I am now fourth on the list!

I feel like I've been pregnant for a year! It was August when I first got PG, but we got PG again so quick after the mc that I feel I've been pregnant all that time!

  • We have spent all of 2009 so far PG, Sugar - there's a thought!

Seeing Tara's bubs made me really want to finally meet mine... 9 weeks to go (ish)

Great to hear news from Hypno - hope she can come home soon safe and sound
