Skinty thanks for the update on Hypno, I'm glad she and bubs are OK!x
I'm now 10th on the list, but I've got a feeling I''ll be moving down rather than up with all the queue jumping:rotfl:

Er, no. I was excited that labour may be starting, but not frightened!
I was frightened yesterday afternoon when I suddenly felt completely different and like the tenant was about to drop right out in the middle of the street. My fear was mostly, Oh God I am about half a kilometre walk from my apartment, it is incredibly busy and my waters are going to break and I'll have to walk home all wet. I'm not frightened of the labour or the pain, although I do have my moments when I hear of the horror stories of things that can go wrong.
Someone on a forum for babies due around the same time as mine delivered a stillborn girl on Friday, and a friend of a friend had a seizure and died after a routine C-Section on Saturday. These are the things that scare me, but there's nothing to be done to prevent them so there's no sense in panicking. We do the best we can and hope it's enough.

I'm not even worried about my waters going when I'm out and about! Maybe I'm just an exhibitionist?:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Thanks NMS - I'm not worried so much any more, although I did have an astronomical wibble yesterday. It just made me think: I'm so focussed on the baby's birth and her being fine and coming home and starting our new family life, but it doesn't work out that way for everyone.
I feel so sorry for my friend's friend's family. They were all in the nursery with the baby while the mother was in recovery, and she was completely alone when she had her seizure.
Edit: Skinty, if I was in the UK I'd be less worried about public water-breaking. Bavarians tend to stare, and will almost never offer help. Having said that, we did our best to dislodge her at Ikea the other day. I don't know what we were hoping for.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

I heard that those kinds of stories are a myth. Think there was a thread somewhere on MSE about it and most places said you'd get a phone call and a glass of water!
That's not worth hanging round Tesco for!:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Do you think it's cheating if I reward myself for the long walk to the kitchen and back to refill my water glass by having a cookie whenever I'm there?Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
