Congratulations Tara - what a beautiful little girl!

I went back to bed for a four hour nap - does it still count as a nap when it's four hours long? - and am now merrily eating curried beans and potato waffles. I'm going to drink a hot chocolate because I want it, and then I shall rehydrate myself with gallons of water and some RLT with my new tea ball.

Tia, are you sure they're BH? It does sound a bit like things are starting off for you.

Talking about people who want you to be miserable during pregnancy - I found that people kept asking me leading questions, and when I told them that something hurt they'd tell me they knew it was bad but that there was no way I had it as bad as they'd had it... cue long story about their horrible pregnancy experiences. I've stopped hanging out with one person for the moment because of it, it's just too awful.

I come in here to whinge when things aren't good, but for the most part I like being pregnant, I'm going to miss my bump, and I think the discomfort is totally justified by the end product.

Still very annoyed that it has taken 5 days for that extra centimetre dilation though. At this rate she'll come strolling out when she's 18 asking if she can borrow the car keys and telling us we're hopelessly old fashioned.

Oh dear. Without being too annoying could I please apologise for posting the link to the Daily Mail news article about epidurals? Sorry! :) I just wanted to reassure anyone wanting/needing an epidural in case they read the story and got scared - I thought this thread was the best place to do so as I used to read it a lot. Anyway, I shall stop distracting you guys and wish you all healthy, happy labours. It was meant quite innocently but I guess I ought to have known you're all way too clued up to need any superfluous information! :)

Really struggling to find some nice, casual and cheap tops that are long enough to wear with leggings. I've been searching eBay for tunics but they're never what i want :( Any ideas??

Beenie I've got some smock tops/dresss from e-bay which seem to fit fine in normal size and loads of growing room, had a lovely grey chiffon one from topshop concessions arrive from e-bay today, H&M are good as well.

  • Beenie, these have been my fav tops for the past few months. I got them in a size 10 - usually an 8/10 - and they were long enough to cover my bum. They are starting to creep up a bit now though, but they do them in loads of different colours and they are really comfy. I agree with MM too - I look for dresses to wear over linen trousers etc...

I too have got real nappies - some little lambs and some Bambino Mio. Am scared to wash anything I have cos I tend to shrink things, never mind worry about colour running. Very sad but I take all my expensive/big stuff (curtains etc) to my mum!!! xxx

I don't think I'm lucky enough to go all on my own. Which is strange, I'm 34 weeks tomorrow so should be wanting her to cook longer, but every day I wait feels like I'm pushing my luck so I do want to go on my own, early. With both the boys (well I had DS2 by now) I had already been in hospital for well over a week and had pre-eclampsia for over 3 weeks.

But I am getting tightening's standing up, sitting down, walking, lying etc. But they are not regular and some are worse than others?

Anyway, got some lunch as I have the shakes, got a pint of sparkly water and diluting blackcurrent (sugar free ofcourse) taken 2 co-codomol and will see what happens.

I want to clean and have a burst of energy but I think that's more in my head than anything else! :rotfl:
