In case you all fancied a laugh.

I told OH the other day that I had read that if he puts his head in the right place on my stomach that he should be able to hear the heart beat. So he puts his head down with a look of concentration on his face and I am trying not to breathe in case it is too loud when all of a sudden I feel the baby kick just where his head was :rotfl:
I had tears streaming down my face from laughing so much. He is never going to live that down and our child will be told that when he was in mummys tummy he kicked daddy in the face :rotfl:
Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)

Floyd Peter arrived 9th July 2011 (1 day early) :D

    Congratulations Tara!!

Hello to everyone! I havent caught up again since my first postings 50 pages back -you all move to fast I can't keep up!

All ok here, still unsure of how far along I am now but have a midwives appointment next week. Though we're off to a sticky start as she is debating with me on the phone how a scan is never wrong and that even though I know the date of my last period AND the conception date give or take a week for ovulation- the scan couldnt possibly be out. By my calculations (And the lovely person who helped me work it out on here) it could be up to 2 weeks out.

Hope everyone is having a good day!

I conceived number 2 before my periods started after the birth of number 1, so needed a dating scan to work out her due date. Now bearing in mind that my other child was born by c section, and that he was only 4 months old when I discovered I was pregnant, you can perhaps guess how many opportunities there might have been for number 2 to have been conceived, so I was fairly sure in my own mind what her due date was likely to be. Scan disagreed and had her due 2 weeks later, which I didn't think was really likely.

By their dates, heartbeat was heard by doppler easily at 11 weeks, movement felt around the same time, and she popped out just a little under 38 weeks, looking perfectly cooked with not a hint of vernix anywhere. I am convinced to this day that the scan date was wrong, and that she was conceived when I thought, and born on almost exactly her due date.
  • Karen, my little un did the same, I think it was cos OH was signing ghost busters at the time :rotfl:

I now have serious cramp! And a sore back and regular BH. Going to get a big drink, some co-codomol and wait till DH comes home and see if it's still as bad. More diarrhoea as well. And I feel queasy, not sick just queasy and strange. I think it's a bug rather than anything exciting though.
  • Tia - are you sure it's a bug - sounds like it could be a start to things  Hugs anyway! x

Really struggling to find some nice, casual and cheap tops that are long enough to wear with leggings. I've been searching eBay for tunics but they're never what i want :( Any ideas??
