NMS, Suzy, I've been well too throughout - but tend to keep to myself as no-one wants to hear that at work (when they ask, you just know they want you to be having a hard time - what is that about?) A little sciatica but nothing too bad. I think if things carry on like now then we'll go for the home birth like the MW suggested. Am still feeling relaxed and confident, sleeping and eating a little too well perhaps, though that may just be delusional. I guess we'll know in the next3-4 weeks if she's in the right position and if I remain low risk and then we can make the final(ish) decision. of course, on the day you don't know but that will prob be our plan A.MFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!

Thanks Nicki, i'm only 18+3 so got a long way to go yet, it's been obvious there's something not right with me for at least 2 months so i'm obviously confused about it being hormone related but i'm making myself physically ill at times with my extreme panic attacks and stress so that's got to be bad for baby, surely
Apparently not, believe it or not! When I had my major Panic Attack at hospital a few weeks ago, complete with vomiting, confusion and massive hyperventilation, they were very reassuring that baby would have been oblivious to it all, and it was just me that was suffering.
Where it isn't good for baby though is that if you go untreated for 7 months and are acutely depressed when the baby comes to be born, once the baby is born it will be very difficult to look after him or her the way you would like to do, and also very hard to recover from the illness because:
1. your stresses will be much greater
2. if you think your hormonal now, wait until your progesterone levels fall through the floor instantanteously after you give birth!
3. your sleep will be disrupted by the illness and the baby
4. the illness will have had a longer time to grab hold
so all in all, you've made a very sensible and a very brave decision I think :T and I hope you start feeling better soon.0 -

Oh Yes! I get:
You must be really struggling to work in this heat
Me: Erm, no. I'm in an air conditioned office, I'd actually rather be here than out there
Oh not long now, are you getting scared?
Me: Not really, I don't really think about it, what will be will be...
I bet you can't wait for it to be over
Me: Actually, I'm quite happy and I'm really gonna miss him not being in my tummy. ATM, I'm happy for him to stay there for as long as he wants
I think me responses do shock some people, lol!0 -

Yay Tara - Wonderful news, your little ones gorgeous, whats her name or have i missed that bit? x :T
Beenie then maybe you should take them , 'specially if having s.t's , you'd be referred to the correct team and counselling will be offered. It will all be urgent and should be within 24 hours as you'll be high priority. It's best to deal with this now rather than later get it over and done with. talking about it helps alot. We all need to talk to someone sometimes that arent part of our family / friendship ring. HTH
NMS - ok i withdraw the easy labour for now seeing as your at work! Can u imagine if your waters do go at work - i read that if they go in B&Q you get £50 vouchers!!! maybe its worth it.0 -
Congratulations Tara - lovely picsTegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)
Floyd Peter arrived 9th July 2011 (1 day early)0 -
Sorry missed whilst i was posting congrats to tara :j :jDarling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j0
-
Congratulations Tara!!! Sorry it didn't go exactly to plan, but bet she is worth it! Look at her so cute! Well done!!!
Means I am now 19th to EDD or... 12th till my induction/section date
Beenie, you can get depression during pregnancy and with all those hormones it's not surprising! Whatever you do, I really do hope you feel better soon.
I need to look for a coffee machine and I'm all crampy again.
Hypnonu, where are you?0 -
Little Pickle hasn't visited MSE since 25th May. Wondering if i should move from the top of the list??0
