I have spent years guarding my main email address from spam and guess what? This morning I have been offered to 'give her the wAnd of de-Light!', 'discreet order processing' and 'meet me up for some fun!'. Not amused.
• My work colleagues are panicking for me...I've just walked into the office and got "you do realise your are due 3 weeks today" :rotfl:

I was trying to get into running before i got my BFP. I'd done the 5k race for life and was really pleased with my time (28 minutes for anyone who cares!!) but since i got the BFP I've been too scared as I wasn't really an established runner before. I've been trying to get out and walk quite a bit more as i feel that's ncie and safe! and once I move next week I'll be near to a nice big swimming pool so am planning on taking up swimming too.

I've also bought a pg yoga book and once I find time  i'll be starting that too! (That's the plan anyway)

I've ordered some EPO coming tomorrow with MR T delivery. No harm in trying hey

Think I'll pass on the breast pump , Id rather self stimulate . I've had enough of seeing my nipple sucked right out and back again inside a pump. I wasnt keen ! lol

Nanc you have done exceptionally well . Well done!

Yeah I've found swimming and aquanatal classes helpful. I tend to do the lane swimming in the slow lane just for 45mins or so. I have heard it helps to be fit during labour, but maybe im just kidding myself ha ha

Been to doctors today with suspected UTI. I've been going to the toilet every 30 mins and even didn't quite make it on time the other night in bed :(:o. Only trickles most times i go and when trickle stops is very uncomfortable as it feels like i'm not finished and all my muscles feel like they're spasming, weirdly like a involuntary pushing sensation

Anyway he checked a sample there and then and it came up clear?? He gave me something called nitorfurantoin, 3 day course, 4 times a day so hopefully this will help.

Also ended up telling him everything about my moods and depression and after doing a questionnaire on me marked me as having severe depression and referred me to a crisis team .
So he precribed me with sertraline, 50mg once a day, and as you do () i came straight home and googled it....

So most sites say it's quite safe in pregnancy and breastfeeding but then i came across some that don't. i.e:

http://www.obfocus.com/reference/Formulary/Drugs%20in%20Pregnancy/Sertraline.htm
When pregnant rats and rabbits were given sertraline during the period of organogenesis, delayed ossification was observed in fetuses at doses of 0.5 times the MRHD in rats and 4 times the MRHD in rabbits. When female rats received sertraline at a dose of 20 mg/kg (1 times the MRHD) during the last third of gestation and throughout lactation, there was an increase in the number of stillborn pups and in the number of pups dying during the first 4 days after birth." [1].
Transplacental passage in humans has been demonstrated with a mean ratio of cord to maternal serum concentration of 0.29 (range 0.10 to 0.66) after maternal doses of 25 to 150 mg day [2].
A prospective study of women followed by The California Teratogen Information Service found no increase in the rate of major anomalies in the infants of 112 women who had used sertraline during pregnancy when compared to nonexposed controls. Anomalies reported in the sertraline exposed group included bilateral choanal atresia, valvular pulmonic stenosis with an atrial septal aneurysm, unilateral club foot, and Down syndrome in a pregnancy that was terminated. Infants exposed to sertraline during the third trimester were more likely than controls to have neonatal transition difficulties and were more often admitted to a special care nursery [3]

....hmmmmm?? And also this one

http://www.themedicine.net/drugs/sertraline-2.html
Pregnant women using SSRIs are more likely to deliver prematurely or going to have babies with major abnormalities. The SSRIs pass into breast milk. Nursing mothers should switch to bottle-feeding while taking this medicine.

I know it's dodgy to google this stuff, but it can't be helped can it, now i'm just confused and worried, but i do need this medication. :(

I'm so frustrated with this thread right now. I'm sick of my comment getting dragged up. I think I'll disappear from this thread for a while even I though I really wanted to hear Tara's good news. Gee, thanks.

Aless please don't. One of the reasons i visit forum is for the controversial debate it brings, and the fact you can sometimes give opinions you'd probably keep to yourself in RL to save a fight :rotfl:

I've not fully followed the debate, because i don't really care about it much, i'll do whatever is suggested in labour, and certainly be in no fit state to question it, but if others are set on following a stricter birth plan then fine - i'm sure no one on this thread actually gives a monkeys what the rest of us chose to do!
