Morning all.. hope bumps are all ok and moving lots!!

Re this thread, comments etc... why cant people make comments on anything people have posted about? Yes they may not be PC, or right but shouldnt we expect some comments on anthing we post..

I may feel like this because I have had constant comments from people I know/on forums re my decisions to keep running, and that I would rather have a boy, I even got knocked down on here for saying I wanted my baby to be healthy.. and was told it was sillly to want that and if it wasnt, what would I do leave it at the hospital, umm nooo but cant I wish sometimes??

Physio has booked me in for 27th July so just under 2 weeks :) - they said it is good to look at it earlier as a number of people limp in just before their due date!

    Aless - don't go!

SJ - my MS stopped around 16 weeks so if yours has stopped now I am sooo jealous. As you say everyone is different.

Suzy - you have to be very dedicated to be stimulating your nipples 15 minutes every hour:eek: Even if it is only for several hours.
Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)

Floyd Peter arrived 9th July 2011 (1 day early) :D

Nanc - I agree - As far as im concerned we are all grown up and can post what we want. Some post things that ( i think) are way out of order and they really havent got a clue (and that is not directed at ANYONE in particular ), i find people also post insensitive things but that is also misinterprated. Writing something down doesnt give a correct tone sometimes and can be read totally different.

BUT whatever I think I personally want to come on here to relax , read birth news , share stories , and generally have a laugh ... not to get in a debate about anything deep. Im having a baby fgs , im on leave !! I want to enjoy these last few weeks. I just want a easy life. I'd ideally like to draw a line under it all now - Is that so unfair and insensitive of me because people are upset with what has gone on.

Nanc - I dont know how you have the energy to run but good on you. I use to run 6 miles a day , hurt my knee , stopped for a week and could only manage a mile and a half ..little did i know i was pregnant. I felt a failure though as i couldnt run like before ( silly i know) but good for you to keep it up. How far did you run and you run now if you dont mind me asking ?

Skinty, EPO doesn't induce labour it just helps soften the cervix. Which is what I need to happen so I can be induced at 37 weeks and not given a section. I may try and waddle into town later (actually I will be in town later getting stuff for the shop) and get some RLT also. If I'm going to get a section I want to know that I did EVERYTHING to get my body ready for an induction. Getting lots of BH which I hope are helping too!

Used it last night... oily comes to mind  and got some natural prostaglandins too! :j (no need to keep keys there now) Really crampy today and had a bout of the diadiddly (probably why I'm crampy, I'm in labour with a parp baby! Too much fruit last night)

Suzy, have you got a breast pump? It's the easiest way so I have read. Plus you will build up the muscles in your hands! :rotfl:

Nancmat, that was me who said that, about leaving an unhealthy baby at the hospital. Didn't mean anything by it, I used to say it all the time too, then had an unhealthy baby which kinda changed my opinion somewhat.

And Glam, heyhey, my glucose levles were only 5.9 after all that fruit! nah! (paying for it today though:rolleyes:)

Tia i'm watching the Wright Stuff on 5 and they're talking about kids under 9 playing in parks, made me think of you :D
  • Nicki - yes, I have an appt with an osteopath who specialises in PG (unfortunately not til August :( ) I'm hoping she'll be able to tweak something! I hadn't thought of trying to get an NHS referral though - the contact I had was to the one my mum's used. I might now mention it to my MW when I see her on Thu, so thanks.

There is a difference between knocking someone down and offering a different perspective... although it can be difficult to tell given we're all more emotional and hormonal than usual. If I'm interested in why someone says something, I'll ask - (like the boy thing, nanc - I'd been there too remember) and if I have a different angle on it, I'll say. It's all part of why we're here - seeing what other ppl are doing/thinking - I've learned loads (I would NEVER have stuck an EPO capsule up my woohoo without this thread, gawd bless it!) When we feel ppl go a bit too far, we're all pretty good at being open enough to say so and to still take part in the thread. If you look around the forums, we're really a supportive bunch - there's a lot more full and frank confrontation and abuse going on elsewhere! DH just laughs now when I start talking about ladies from the forum - you guys are my constant companions!

Suzy - I was running up to 10/14miles a few times a week up until late May, then I started to get cramp so have slowed right down and can only manage 20/25min runs now v slow, but still feel like its something. I think though i've got about a month left in me then I will be swimming more.
