i would think they would be high but then for breakfast yesterday I had a pain au chocolat, banana and an an apple and it was only 5.5

I'm forcing it down, I should be starving but I'm just not hungry  so not like me!

So strange, my mouth is saying yummm but I feel like I want to chew it then spit it back out. Hope I don't have a bug

At 4pm it was only 4.0 and that was after my soup (chicken and rice).

WM-hope your OH gets his op soon. I can't imagine how tough this must be for you.!

Thanks G-I-S-I. OH has now seen Surgical registrar. Who has totally contradicted what the medical consultant said. There is no way they can do the surgery he asked for asap, due to massive amounts of steroids in his body. The surgery is massive, and would maybe have to be done in 3 parts. Has high risk of infection and septecimia. And if it was done apparently 30% fail in the first week of recovery. He will have to try and control it with medication if possible. When i got there he was on a heart monitor, due to low potassium levels, have no idea what that means? Every day its something new. He is well peed off.

    Nicki,
i read that you are feeling low about the debate earlier. Please don't. I appreciate the level of support given and offered on here unconditionally, pregnancy related or not, but i will choose my own birth plan, drugs, intervention and all. Maybe even elective section. You do what you want, to take the route that is right for you mentally, your body and your baby. I don't judge anyone. We live in a free state with the right to choose. Make your own choices and do not live by othere. Having said that i don't think it was anyones intention to upset any member on here. Everyone has a right to their own opinions. And i think that pregnancy hormones get us all a little worked up at times.

Whoo, that was a bit involved for me.!!!!

I must have misunderstood something (and probably missed some posts), as I've always gotten the impression that we all on this thread are not judgey about anyone's birth plans or their decisions. I certainly would not presume to judge. We can only do what we are comfortable with at the time, and that's it. I'm sorry to hear that that there's been a bit of a disagreement (or simply hopefully a misunderstanding) about it.

Birth plan aside, I'm just ready to give birth. I really am. lol Is it time yet??

Nicki- hugsto you. I really don't undestand why anyone would ever feel judged about their choices. You choose (or in some cases are bamboozled) into whatever gets you through labour. The idea is to get the baby out one way or another and to be honest, I want my baby out as quickly and as painfree as possible. My friend once said to me that you don't get praise for having a tooth out without pain-relief cos you want to 'feel the expeience' so why endure more pain than necessay in child-birth?The achievement is producing and nurturing a new life, not in my opinion the route and amount ofpain you suffer as a consequence. Everyone can choose which route they want.

    Hmmm... so.... for me,

    week 34 - 2 orally + 1 vaginally
    week 35 - 3 orally + 1 vaginally
    week 36 - 4 orally +1 vaginally

and see how we get on.

So is this a good thing to take then? Should I get some? Or is it to bring labour on? i'm happy with Bubba being in there as long as it wants so in that case is this something I don't need to do?

(I haven;t been doing perineal massage either cos I can't reach!).

I apologise for assuming that the thread was still sometimes about offering support when people are finding things difficult. I know that some of the regular posters know that I recently suffered an episode of PTSD when I was back in the hospital and have been finding the upcoming birth hard to deal with, and they have been kind and offered perspectives and advice which have helped.

Clearly though, its outside the bounds of acceptability to even refer to the fact that a discussion on here has been one of just a number of things in a difficult day which has been hard to deal with, and therefore I won't refer to the matter again, nor will I read or post again tonight.

Aww Nicki, ((((hugs))). I think people were just sticking up for the conversation and not saying you were wrong for saying it upset you, just that it wasn't intended to.

I know it's hard when we're worried and emotional, and maybe a break from the convo for a bit would be a good thing, but don;t feel you can't post here for support because we all need some of that sometimes.

Hope you feel better after a good night's sleep, and understand that nothing was meant personally against you and no-one wanted to upset you.

    :A

HYPNO! Let us know you are OK please hon.

Welcome to the newbies and congrats to anyone who has given birth since I was last on, have had a very busy day and no time to catch up personally with everyone.

OH has finished the front door and meter cupboard doors and frames, so just the garage door and frame to do.

He is away from tomorrow for two days for work, so hopefully I won;t go into labour!

It does seem warm here too. I'm having some difficulty sleeping, even with the fan on.

The consultant is supposed to be giving me the date to induce me (due to GD) on Thursday. I guess I'm hoping I'll have the baby by Thursday, and then it'll be a non-issue. Otherwise, I swear I'm gonna cry and stamp my feet to get induced next week. It's getting harder and harder to walk and move, and keeping up with my 2yo is becoming near to impossible! I obviously don't want to upset anyone by queue jumping the EDD lineup, but *whinge* oh my god I am soooo ready to have this baby. (ok, whinge over now! lol)
