I've avoided McFlurrys and 99s for that reason. Fortunately I'd rather have a scoop of ice cream anyway though, so not to much of a hardship.
Went to the farmers' market but it was pretty disappointing. Got some FR eggs and rolls for lunch but that was it.
It is so rainy here. Supposed to be going to a BBQ tonight, but might give it a miss if it's still wet. Not really in the mood to be crammed into someone's house!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
I was waiting on the washing to finish so I could hang it out, so been popping on and off here between looking online for new sandals that I can wear to a wedding. Problem is my feet are always so swollen, I can't even fasten a strap! So need sling backs or something.
I suppose I had better go and shower really since it's now afternoon!0 -
Also Glam - no-one wanted to distract you from your work so we have been sitting quietly so you could get on with it!0

Harley- I meant to say that I think Skinty's line for your letter is brilliant. Don't forget that if whatever they offer you is not what you wanted, then don't accept it. My bank offered me a box of chocolates when they failed to action my name change three times- I said not a chance and ended up with £50! Obviously you should get considerably more than that! Let us know how it goes.....:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0

I feel like crying again. Im so !!!!ed off about my dad staying here when he's back in the UK. Ive posted the story before so won't again but Ive spoken to him on the phone this morning and it's awoken all my supressed !!!!!! off emotions!! When he stays here he has the attic bedroom. Theres 3 other bedrooms in the house...mine and hubbys, my daughters and my sons. Not once has he asked us where the baby will sleep after weve had enough of him being in with us. Does he not realise we will need the attic bedroom!! We think its a good idea if our daughter moves up into the attic bedroom, then baby can have her bedroom..it's right next to mine and hubbys room so would be ideal. He's not said a word about his plans for when baby is due, we think he's thick skinned enough to just announce that he's booked flight back here for end of October, without discussing with us atall. I can't believe Im going to be forced into actually having to tell him I/we don't want or need him here when Im having the baby!! Why can't he be normal and think about what we might want!! It's the birth of our baby, we want peace and privacy!!!!!!! wonder if it will make any difference if I let him know that a homebirth is hopefully on the agenda?! If you were a dad..would you wanna be around,in the same house while your daughter gives birth???? I feel sick now Im so worked up.love my little man he is amazing :j0

Glam,
Letter is all finished with photos attached. Just sent it to myself to make sure that it went through ok and it took aaagges!!! Just sent it off to their customer support email now so hopefully will get a response fairly soon.
Fully intend to use Aless's much more strongly worded suggestion if I need to follow it up though.
Mum was still making comments about being elderly when I hung up the phone just now. Trouble is, for a first time nanny she is pretty old, she just doesn't see it that way.
After everything they said in the beginning they are getting really excited now. Think the fact that it is a girl has made mums year and dad is looking forward to having someone to spoil again I think.
Has anyone bought the Tiny Love Symphony in Motion cot mobile. I think that is what the parents want to buy little'un and it seems the best I've seen. Just wondering where I could get it that would give me the best deal.
Mothercare don't do it, in case they send me vouchers to make up for my stress, but they do have the Sweet Island Dreams mobile for half price at £24.99 if anyone wanted that.

Very proud mummy to Gorgeous baby girl - 29/09/09 :j
Thanks to all who directed me to Quidco - £289.30 since Nov 09 :beer:0 -
Afternoon girls
Forbidden foods - had a few drinks, peanuts, Snickers, etc, local ice cream (non-pasteurised), but none of other stuff - bean seems to be OK, though!None of those warnings when pg with other kids & they're all OK, so hedging my bets - not had too much of the above things!
Very nice surprise at bank today - large deposits from tax credits, into 4 figures! Think it's when I told them other week that they'd had DS2 (17) as not being counted as a child when he's been at college for the last year & is continuing. Never had so much from them - but waiting for the paperwork to come & will check it before we spend! Desperately need a bigger car (ancient 3-door Polo), so if the money's legit, that's where it's going before baby arrives.
DH just in from bike ride & toddler asleep so off for lunch, then to mum's as it's her birthday - see you all later.
