Morning everyone. Been up and down all night as usual. Every time I move, I need the toilet. It's driving me mad. Sugar/Suzy, hope you got back to sleep for a couple of hours at least.
It's a lovely morning here, so have decided to sit outside and eat breakfast, but don't have anything in, so DH has nipped to McDs for Sausage and Egg McMuffins! Not very healthy, and not all that tasty really, but the idea is appealing as a treat! Not used to being up early enough to get one. I guess our days of lying in bed until midday are already long gone!
Nikki - hope you are ok and find a way to deal with your feelings. Don't have anything constructive to say but hugs to you. x0 -
Wowsers, where is everybody? It's soooo quiet!
It must have been the night for pregnancy insomnia last night. I slept really soundly from 10:30-4, but then just couldn't get back to sleep. I kind of drifted until 8 when OH got home from nights but my mind was so active, and I was stressing about work so got up then so he could sleep properly.
Off out in a minute. I know it is pathetic, but I have got less keen on going out alone since I've been pg. However I don't want to waste a Saturday off at home on my own, so have found a mini Farmers market near me so am heading out to that to get some goodies. I quite fancy signing up to a veg delivery box again too, as I feel like I've got stuck in a bit of a food rut recently. I think getting sent all sorts of goodies might help me try some new recipes. I will report back!
Any other lurkers about?:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Morning ladies

Feeling much better today so ihave decided to take the kids out for the day on the train they like travelling that way and havent been on one for ages so lets hope they behave and take it easy on me lol :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
thanks skint do you think that taking the side off the cot would work just as well? this backache is a nightmare and am looking into a latex mattress at the mo aswell!
anyone who isnt sleeping would you mind babysitting so i can get a sleep lol!
good luck pinkpig! and labour vibes for everyone in need esp tara x
It depends on the height of the cot base. If you co-sleep you must have the cot and bed mattresses at the same height, and plug any gap in between (I am going to pull baby's mattress over to mine then plug the gap between cot and mattress with towels) so that the baby cannot get trapped at all.
If your existing cot is the same height as the bed it would be OK, but if not then I'd be concerned about the baby getting trapped in some way or a danger of falling.
Maybe you could try setting it up next to the bed and see if it looks safe?:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

I wanted OH to paint the garage and front doors today and it is light showers! Why oh why didn;t he do this months ago like he was supposed to? Now we are running out of time and it's still not done!
On a positive note, I realised I have other payslips from another job that I can use for my MA application so don;t need replacements from my old work after all. Now I can post that off today and hopefully they will process it in the next week! DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Morning ladies and bumps, hope you are all well.
Can I please ask for some help?
I have finally finished my marathon complaint letter, with photos, to mothercare. My last statement says that I am very disappointed with the quality of the nursery set and I am sure that this is not the standard that I reputable company like mothercare wish to provide their customers. I've not needed the stress at 6 months pregnant, blah blah blah.
The letter is 1.5 pages of text and 2 pages of photos of the damage.
What I need is one final sentence that basically says that I want a response in double quick time and that I am expecting substantial compensation for all the trouble that this has caused both me and my parents.
Does anyone have a good sentence that I can use or any suggestions on how I can get that point across without sounding aggressive when so far the letter is very factual and actually remarkably calm.
Thanks in advance

Is this just England NHS guidelines? My boss was swabbed for swine flu and expecting results today so they're still testing in Scotland
Makes me glad I'm signed off just now, don't need another thing to worry about lol
It must just be England then unless your boss was swabbed before Monday 6th July.
Girls - you can't have TAMI-FLU if you are pregnant! There is a different inhaled anti-viral that we need to have if needed.
Anyone with flu like symptoms should be treated as if it is swine flu, you can only catch it from someone if they are displaying symptoms. The incubation period is 3 days. If you get any symptoms whatsoever contact your GP ASAP as pg ladies are at risk so will be anti-virals immediately.mountainlioness wrote: »Glam - are you finishing before me then? I'm thinking 37 or 38 weeks but not sure yet. If I get knackered I might go earlier, though prob take some hols for it. Can't believe how soon it is!!
Yep
I was starting ML at 39 weeks but taking 4 weeks A/L before. Now I have a new job I won't get my 4 weeks A/L from my old employer as I'm not entitled to Maternity Leave only pay (because I'm leaving). WIth the GD I thought I would start ML at end of 34th week now because I want some time to rest and relax before baby comes. Plus baby will be coming at 38 or 39 weeks now so I don't need to worry about having loads of time waiting around!
Went to Mothercare yesterday and bought some support/nursing bras as my underwired are digging in a bit. Got ones like the one in the link but spotty ones - were marked down to £12 but when I got to till they were £7.50! OH insisted I got knickers to match (£6 down to £3) so that I can feel sexy after baby born! Just need to get used to my boobs not being quite as perky as they wer before but the bras are comfy.

Gonna nip back tomoorrow after boot sale and maybe get another pack of 2. Used to be a 34D, am now wearing a 36DD which is good as I expected them to get a lot bigger. The bras have plenty of room for when the milk comes in as well!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Taking into account the stage of my pregnancy, I hope that you will process this complaint without any delay. As I have suffered considerable diffiuclties with this order, I expect you to offer me suitable compensation for the time and trouble I and my elderly parents have expended in attempting to resolve the issues with the build quality of this product.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
how's something like that? Not sure if your parents are elderly but if they are then it's good to add that in as well! :j
