oh congrats BettyDebt i bet you were really shocked but very happy. Just take it easy for a bit and relax, I have never had morning sickness but ginger biscuits and those wrist bands are meant to be good. Good luck and welcome to the board.

Glam - just read back about your having to take insulin. That's a bit harsh for you. You said it should only last whilst your pregnant so I suppose you can count down both the days till your baby is born and when you can stop taking insulin.

Right I have loads of work to do so should really get back to doing some work. Its so hard to concentrate today though, especially as I am feeling so tired. Maybe I'll finish early and go and have a nap before OH gets home from work.

Welcome BettyDebt. I had awful MS but not much worked for it. But they always advise ginger biscuits, ginger tea. My MW even suggested Tonic water because of Seratonin (something like that) but I hate tonic water. I found crisps were the best thing, but not very healthy :)

    congrats and welcome Betty!

    Is this your first?

Like elastigirl said, relax! Ginger biscuits and a drink before you get out of bed tends to help with Morning Sickness. Ring your GP now to find out how you go about getting your booking in appt with the Midwife because different surgeries do things differently

Sign up to lots of baby clubs, Boots, Tesco etc and you get freebies and emails about sales. Keep an eye out for the ASDA Baby Events they are very good.

Should I be worried that my nose is abit runny and I just sneezed?!
    Think I'm being paranoid though!

Thanks! I have been really unsuccessful in finding ginger biscuits! Yet I used to see them everywhere before! Maybe we've had an increase in pregnancies in my area!:rotfl:Will look at local larger shops this weekend. MS is bad and throughout the whole day! Managing only to eat fruit & veg and ryvitas/ toast so it appears I am on diet as well :T

Congrats Betty - what a stubborn sticky bean you have :D Hope all goes well for the next 9 months you. With morning sickness it's just finding something to help you cope. Some swear by eating as soon as you get up - toast or a biscuit, others say ginger biscuit etc.

Thanks for the advice. Yes it's my first for my husband and I. Was a lovely accident. We are so unprepared in everyway knowledge/ finances but at least we have some time to sort it out.

GP booked for tomorrow so will have a chat to him and see what happens.

Do you think I should wait before signing up for baby clubs? After my first fright I dont want to get over excited but it's so hard not to! Bet everyone feels this way.

Do any (physical) changes happen in your body so early on? My husband thought i was imaging the exhaustion (and overreacting) but NHS online confirms exhaustion occurs now. Any other changes? Now he is busy running around me...:rotfl:start as we mean to go on!

:DSounds about right - my husband and I are extremely stubborn people.

MIL was convinced it was twins but honestly I doubt I would ever know what really happened. Drs didnt even see me after it happened, just diagnosed me over the phone from my symptoms and two weeks later I took myself to the A&E for being sick and nearly fainting all the time! Glad I did though because I got some answers pretty quickly!

It's up to you - if you want to wait then do so. You wouldn't miss out on much - we tend to keep each other informe don here anyway!

You might find your boobs get bigger, feel tired, feel sick, increased creamy discharge - that's probably about it really. Althou it feels like ages ago for me! My OH started off like that but it didn't last!

Do you exercise? You shouldn't really do anything new in pregnancy however, it is good to exercise as it prepares your body for the experience to come. I've started doing a gentle step aerobics routine on my Wii Fit this week (29 weeks) because I have just been diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes and exercise helps. Don't take up jogging or running if it wasn't something you did before.
