Here the sleeves are ok Sami, Bavarian winters will often be ten or more degrees below freezing for weeks at a time.

This year was unusually mild and there was only one week where we were consistently around -15.

Thank you - I'm never sure how long babies are supposed to be :)

I dont know if you know but i've also heard people mention a spinal block, does anyone know the benefits or downsides of those?

It's the same thing AFAIK! You get two kinds of epidural - a mobile one where you can move around in labour, and a total spinal block where you can't. They do the c section under the latter.

Should I be worried that my nose is abit runny and I just sneezed?!
    Think I'm being paranoid though!

I've had a runny nose, sore throat and the sneezes for a couple of days now, and there have been a couple of confirmed cases of swine flu in DS's class at school. I'm assuming though that I just have a summer cold - surely flu is much more debilitating than a snuffle

Baby is moving around OK though so don't plan on panicking unless I start to get really ill, not just a bit below par.

I felt a bit woozy this morning but don't know if it was the insulin or start of fluey type illness - if I get any worse then I might ring GP. It's a pain they aren't swabbing as we won't know if this person actually has it or not!

I've actually just been told to work at home tomorrow as there are now three people from my building who have flu and been put on tamiflu! But I can come back to work on Monday when hopefully anyone else who is going to get it will be off.

Congratulations Betty!! My first scan dated me as 5/3 but I knew I was closer to 7. Anyway, my should have been 13 weeks exactly scan dated me at 15/5weeks and I was told that the early scans are pretty rubbish at dating so don't worry your date will be adjusted later on.

Yes it's normal for early pregnancy symptoms to kick in almost instantly, tiredness, sickness etc. With this one I had 'flu' over Christmas... I now know it was more a slight cold and a nice dose of tiredness. With DS2 I started getting symptoms (I was very very sick) about 5 days after conception!! I was throwing up all day before I was even late.

Elle, Great news about Rhys!!! He is a little super star!

Skinty can you maybe put up a fence with trellis above back to the height of what the hedge was? Ask on greenfingered board what trellis plants will grow like mad if planted now. My parents had to do that after they ripped out the hedge and put in chicken wire fencing along a lane beside their garden.

Got my HiPG form and my Surestart form so just going to post them away :D

Off to clean something as I am feeling all energetic (but I am developing SPD again so got to take it slow).
