Congratulations Betty!! My first scan dated me as 5/3 but I knew I was closer to 7. Anyway, my should have been 13 weeks exactly scan dated me at 15/5weeks and I was told that the early scans are pretty rubbish at dating so don't worry your date will be adjusted later on.

Yes it's normal for early pregnancy symptoms to kick in almost instantly, tiredness, sickness etc. With this one I had 'flu' over Christmas... I now know it was more a slight cold and a nice dose of tiredness. With DS2 I started getting symptoms (I was very very sick) about 5 days after conception!! I was throwing up all day before I was even late.

Thanks! Maybe some can answer this for me? I have no idea about how to work these things out and just do it online... My last period was 13 May. I know conception was 27 May (or however long it takes to conceive after the deed) as it was just one of those months where thats the only possible conception date. How far along does that make me?

I am not worried at all - just impatient. I dont want to have to wait longer than need be for a 12 week scan! :D

If you go here it will let you put your conception date in and tell you your due date :)

Congratulations by the way and don't worry, most of the symptoms go away by the second trimester.

I don't know either and do it online but according to this you're 8+1 (based on a 28 day cycle) http://www.pregnology.com/due-date.php?o1=1&cycle=28&month=5&day=13&year=2009&omonth=1&oday=01&oyear=2009

the due date calculators aren't always accurate...that's how my dates got pushed back by a week. I clearly ovulated much later than I had thought, even though I was charting at the time!

Beenie - you're here! I've been dying to know where you got all your cute pregnancy tickers from. I've tried Googling but only come up with the most popular ones.

I know my period was messed up that month so could have ovulated at weird time. But there is only one possible conception date + however long it takes for the egg to fertilise so surely that may make it quite accurate. There is a big difference to me in being 5 weeks preg vs 8 weeks. (clearly I am becoming the neurotic preg woman early on! Ha ha)

Hi bettydebt! Congratulations on your pregnancy :)

And hi everyone else, just got back from an afteroon at the museum with OH.

We went into the butterfly house and i got freaked out as i expected them to be in glass cases but they were flying all around the room!

They also had a display of dead buterflys and the sign said all these butterflys died within the museum and are being preserved and there was a big yellow one bigger than my hand pinned to the display! That freaked me out some more so we left that section lol.

Its so hot here, but not sunny :(
