My memory fails, but didn't someone mention that Next maternity clothes tend to run a bit large and to get a size smaller?? I've got big boobs but no hips, so sometimes their sizes are very wonky for me.

Nicki - that is amazing thanks so much! I 'may' end up having to go down c-section route and your post has reassured me loads.

Squishy - last week the car door whacked me on my left hand side where my belly sticks out. It hurt, I went dizzy and felt sick but it passed. Was going for GTT anyway and MW said I'd damaged myself and that baby had plenty of padding in there. Don't worry

MW appt - BP fine, heard HB again, baby is head down but slightly to the right hand side so she said he was probably pushing against my bladder. It's his feet I can feel under my boobs - little b00ger!
MW wants to keep seeing me because of the BF issue so seeing her in 4 weeks but have clinic and scan appt in between.

Insulin wasn't too bad today - didn't hurt so either I had a smaller needle or I didn't do it properly (I'm sure I did!). Sugars dropped from 8.7 last few days to 7.7 today so they will probably increase Insulin dose again when I phone tomorrow to get it down even further

Morning ladies.....hope you appreciate that I'm here typing and not sneaking more sleep before work!!:D

Well I think I cursed myself saying no nausea as I went to bed last night and couldn't sleep at all, usually I sleep on my front but boobs were too sore, then tried on my side but thought I might throw up, changed to on my back and thought I was definately going to throw up!! Eventually managed to doze off about 4am!

Good luck to pinkpig and catz (think thats right?) so exciting to think you'll be seeing bubs soon!
Money maker, we're renting a bungalow in Bushmills for a few days and I'm praying the weather at least stays dry if not sunny!

Labour vibes to those ready to go and sticky vibes to those like me! For everyone in between.....you just get hugs for being at the "fed up I've got so long to go" stage!;):D

Now all this talk of cookies has made my tummy rumble so must go eat then sleep some before work.
    Have a good day!

Carla - 36 wks here too - and have been having that same pressure (and swelling) of that region for the last week or two. It started about the time the baby dropped some. Midwife said it's the pressure of the head pushing down, but not ready to come out yet. Oh, and as for the pineapple, I've heard the core (middle) part is the part that is supposed to be helpful. Not a clue if it's true, but I'm certainly enjoying the fresh pineapple anyway - DH brought home 2 lovely sweet ones! yummmmmm

Pineapple brings back memories of number 3. I don't know if it was because I ate a full ..YES a full pineapple that day, relaxed in the garden with the suns rays on my bump with a cool beer and basically just chilled out! but he came that night.

Think I'll be eating some again soon.

Been feeling pressure too this time , im 36 & 4 days although the lil lady hasnt dropped yet, the others didnt until i was in labour. She does feel really low though

Just so you know, not all sections need stitches to be removed. I got disolvable ones,so I didnt have to get anything done afterwards other than get my wound checked to see if it was healing. My elective section was pretty much the same as Nickis other than the fact that my numbness wore off a bit quicker, but I was given Dylan to hold as soon as he was checked over and had his apgar readings done, then when I was going to recovery, he was given to Chris.
Unfortuneately thats when he got sick, but if it wasnt for that, oth me and Chris were the only ones to have him after he was born, just the way it should be.

I was told though that you can get the gown taken off once you are in theatre so you can get skin to skin as soon as baby is born, but not sure if every hospital allows that or not :)

Oh and a spinal block is pretty much an epidural. Its that or general when you are put to sleep

I read somewhere you need to eat 7 fresh pineapples for it to have any real effect - good luck with that one although I think they are on offer in either ALDI or ASDA can't remember!

I read that too Glam - I like pineapple but a whole one would be pushing it a bit. 7 might send me over the edge.

Spicy food last night didn't do any good at all. Bellyfrog had hiccups for about six hours and I felt like my mouth was bleeding, but nothing except the continued irregular pains and constant backaches.

My Next shirts have all been a bit weird - the 6s are all too short for the bump now, and the 8s still have enough room for someone else's boobs as well as mine in the top although they're straining over the bump. I found the trousers great, except one pair of plain black work trousers where the hem came down almost immediately and they're still too big for the bump at 37 weeks.

    Hi All,

Not been on for a couple of days hope everyone and their bumps are alright. I am just feeling really tired and could quite happily put my head down on my desk and go to sleep.

OH had his hand on my belly before we got up this morning and just at that moment the baby kicked. Usually bump stops as soon as OH is near so I think he was really chuffed that he got to feel a proper movement. :)

This is a bit embarrassing but does anyone else in the 23 week mark have random leakages in the nether regions? I was at work the other day talking to someone when all of a sudden it felt like I was having a period or something. As soon as I could I went to check and it was clear but it was lucky I was wearing a black skirt! A similar thing happened on Saturday when I was in the city, and that actually made me look like I had wet myself :o- luckily I was wearing a cardy tied round my waist which covered it (hopefully no one noticed). I'm thinking of getting some pads or something to wear, but its going to cost a fair amount between now and 1 November! Does anyone have any advice? Or recommendations.

    Thanks
