Good afternoon ladies and bumps
Just a quick heads up for any of us that are already mums and working!! I called up the other day to do my renewal and reported that I would be going on to SMP/mat leave on July 14th so they reduced this years income by £3900, this has meant that we are now entitled to £45 a week instead of the bog standard £10.50I was not expecting this at all! Also, now that we are entitled to more than the minimum we can also claim the surestart grant, again, i was not expecting that at all.. yippee!! Hope the rest of you have as much luck with your renewal, its got to be worth a phonecall anyway!

I too called up to tell them I was goin on mat leave. Unfortunately it didn't change our award because the drop of £3900 wasn't enough to take us down to the next bracketSealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0

Karen, I am 29+ weeks and have had to wear panty liners for a good number of weeks. have tried various different ones, from the ultra thin envive and tennalady to normal panty liners, usually what ever is on offer. You might find your self a little more sensitive down there, a few weeks ago i had to buy some sensitive ones, can't remember the make, but they are supposedly lined with cotton. Its just one of the many joys of pregnancy. Lots of leakages and yuk and more expense.
Sorry if that was TMI by the way. :rotfl:0 -

Some days are worse than others - some I can away with wearing just knickers but others I wear a pantyliner.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Karen
At 36 weeks plus I seem to have come out of the other side of it now and have stopped leaking. I also used panty liners, just cheap Tesco ones.

Hi All,
Not been on for a couple of days hope everyone and their bumps are alright. I am just feeling really tired and could quite happily put my head down on my desk and go to sleep.
OH had his hand on my belly before we got up this morning and just at that moment the baby kicked. Usually bump stops as soon as OH is near so I think he was really chuffed that he got to feel a proper movement.
This is a bit embarrassing but does anyone else in the 23 week mark have random leakages in the nether regions? I was at work the other day talking to someone when all of a sudden it felt like I was having a period or something. As soon as I could I went to check and it was clear but it was lucky I was wearing a black skirt! A similar thing happened on Saturday when I was in the city, and that actually made me look like I had wet myself- luckily I was wearing a cardy tied round my waist which covered it (hopefully no one noticed). I'm thinking of getting some pads or something to wear, but its going to cost a fair amount between now and 1 November! Does anyone have any advice? Or recommendations.
Thanks
Welcome to my world  Is this your first Karen? Wait till you are on your 4th, it only gets worse :rotfl:Tena must be making a fortune out of us pg ladies!

bah, sorry to hear that pinkpig, make sure you ring as soon as baby makes an appearance and that might tip you over, you can claim the surestart grant if your award goes up by more than the minimum before your baby is 3 months old.

edited to say: That goes for new mummies to be aswell, make sure you claim for tax credits as soon as your baby is born, you dont want to miss out on the £500. You can claim it as long as you get more than the bog standard £21 a week.0
