I have just got back from the hospital for my 16 wk apt. it was a bit pointless really, I was very sad not to hear the heartbeat
The MW said that they don't do it anymore at 16 wks as if they can't find it then it only worries the mother and then they may have to have to waste another apt by having a scan to make sure all is ok. So i guess ignorance is bliss is it? I have my scan early aug but don't see my actual MW until end of sept which they thought was v bad and i am to ring her to get a closer one. i don't think she will like that but there you go.
Consultant came in asked if i had thought about a VBAC said 60% of woman go on to have one. I just don't know i am very confussed about it all now. i was so keen on a section again. I got a few mixed messages from him on one hand he said no reason not to try myself then said it was my choice remember i am only little and may not be able to birth the baby again and that he will go with what ever i choose and he won't fall out with me over it but then said it depends on how many children you want. If this is my last then section ok but i must understand if i want anymore then they will be automatic sections and not good for my bodyI have a scan at 34 wks to see how big the baby is and it will be discussed again then.
I picked up a bounty leaflet pack while i was there they had tons on a table so helped myself and there was a free newborn starter kit voucher in it. :j wish i had took 2:rotfl:This is my signature!0 -

aparantly it takes August babies 16 years to catch up with September babies... theres a years difference in maturity when they start school and it takes forever for them to catch up...! i was oldest in school year and glad for it...
plus - its a nightmare for August babies to have proper birthday parties when get to school age cos everyone is on holiday....
My little boy was born in August 2006 and today is induction day at nursery  I cant believe he is going to nursery in september, he is way too small  It doesnt help that he actually is really small and I have seen 18 months olds that tower over him, everyone looks well shocked when he opens his mouth and speaks fluently and asks to use the toilet lol! So you would think I would have learnt my lesson wouldnt you? Nope, my new addition is due August 31st, I'm hoping to go at least 1 day over but I have never gone over before cos of my pesky pregnancy induced high blood pressure
I am also already worrying about the washout birthday parties, I think Jamie will just have to have a late party in september every year!
Now, does anyone know were I can buy a school uniform to fit a 18-24 month size lol.

I'm in work! No access to TV!!
Fidget - my OH doesn't respond to nagging just a gentle have you done this? No, Oh OK no probs.
Now, I'm pg he's a lot better - all I need to do is open the dishwasher and he runs in apologising that he's not had chance to empty but he'll do it straightaway
When I left him and BIL a list - came home to find BIL scrubbing my worktops with a scourer :eek:A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

EDIT: It's called Life Class, Today's Nude, and it's on from 12.30-1 (I only just found it while flicking) and it's basically a naked lady posing so you can draw her at home while some bloke talks about HIS drawing, which oyu can;t see!!
They have cut her head off halfway too so it all feels a bit pervy.
Dunno if they have men doing it too but Im not sure I think it's appropriate. I mean, I know that life drawing is not pervy but sticking this on TV means pervs can get their rocks off doesn't it?
It's VERY odd.
i saw this yesterday as i was flicking through the channels i went by it at first but i had to go back as i said to myself i am sure that was a naked lady! but on at this time? he kept going on about her nipples and saying how they were in line with her bracelet and so you can draw them at the correct angle using the bracelet as a guide. :rotfl:The lady seemed very uncomfortable to me.This is my signature!0 -
mustbemad... wow he's well developed! poor thing being so small...
you could always just pin up the smallest uniform you can find and then they should last longer? kids look so sweet when their uniform is too big too...
iwas opposite... verybig for my age - had to wears mans suit jacket to senior school cos the school supplier didnt do big enough!:male:Alfie Sidney born 29th August 2009:male:0 -
Nudey post - very wordy.
I don't think the sight of a naked lady on the TV in the middle of the day is going to cause all the perverts to close their curtains (or not) and knock one off or damage the virgin eyes of children.
Perverts probably have a stack of !!!!!! that's tailored to their tastes, and kids don't care about nudity till they've been fully indoctrinated that it's bad. I'm totally in favour of nonsexualised nudity - sexy nekkid time should be private, but if you're walking from bedroom to bathroom or back nekkid is fine. I grew up in a mostly-naked friendly house, although my dad preferred to keep his undercrackers on rather than answer my question about what he had going on there and why I didn't have one, and my kid/s will likewise.
They'll also have the bonus of the German unselfconsciousness. I had a scan while in the UK over Christmas because I was bleeding. I was ushered into a tiny room, put behind a curtain, told to undress and cover myself with a sheet. The lady scanner closed the curtain then locked me in and waited outside. In Germany, I drop trou behind a screen in the doctor's office while he closes the blinds, then I walk from screen to chair with shirt and socks on. Not a problem. I'm not embarrassed to be naked or have my bits out, especially not around someone whose job it is to look at my naked bits and watch a small person come out of them, and it makes me sad when people are embarrassed about themselves.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

MBM - DS2 was born July 2006, and we're still deciding on nursery or not. He might enjoy it, but we just can't decide. It's a definite commitment as far as time/schedule is concerned, and I'm just sure I am quite ready for it. We'll see how things go when this baby arrives and go from there, I suppose.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0

Sugar - I'm not embarrassed about nudity either, I just mostly thought it was an odd concept for a TV prog, especially as to do a life drawing requires a few hours rather than 30 mins (as demonstrated by the bloke's drawing - he basically managed an outline).
I just had an email from a friend - she has had a miscarriage and wants to meet up as I'm the only person she knows who has had one. Poor thing. Gonna meet her next week.
And tomorrow I go to visit my suicidal friend who is in a clinic being treated. Feel a bit like an agony aunt right now but glad I can be there for them. DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j
