morning everyone!!
off to the consultant later on!!
have already forgotten to take my wee sample first thing...
gonna ask what type of birth are they thinking of for me, so i can be prepared. know its 10-12 weeks away (omg that is nothing!!!) but hope its not too early to start to ask questions.
waiting on my commumity mw to ring with the details of the antenatal classes. am looking forward to them already.
glad you sorted your SMP out Glam. good luck with telling your boss!
cot bumpers- not getting these as once baby starts to sit up on their own you have to take them off. have not bought blackout blinds as baby will be small and born in autumn, but will definitely get them next year when mornings are so bright, to trick baby into thinking its still nightime. sun rises on the back of our house right in babies room so will be essential. althoug if i see them in a sale i might be tempted!! need to start moving cat from the babies room so he knows he cant sleep there. will not be easy i think.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
Sugar, I called the hospital yesterday and they told me to stick a pad on and call back if anything else, there wasn't. And as it's baby number 3 my cervix doesn't fully close, it stays about 0.5-1cm dilated so it's common to shed bits of plug so they weren't worried about that or the BH I've been getting either. Besides I don't 'feel' like anything is happening. I just feel that I am going to be uncomfotable for weeks
Had a BBQ last night and my feel and ankles swelled to their largest yet! But it was a good night even if I am shattered today because I was out in the sun too long. Didn't get up till 11.30am and my head is splitting!
As for midwife appointments I'm taking the P... Tuesday 10.30am day care for diabetes clinic. Wednesday 2.00pm Day care for medical clinic. Thursday 3.00pm Community mw for my HiPG and sure start form.
Then it's probably going to be weekly at day care, one week medical clinic, next week diabetes clinic.0 -

well, i have chronic hypertension and am worried about what is the best birth plan to be used tbh.
some websites have said c-section is best as it is relatively quick and because of that less strain on the body. others have mentioned that induction is better some do say natural birth ie when baby is ready to come, but i think that these maybe a bit too stressful for me and raise my bp even higher.
at the moment my bp is under control but if i were to develop pre-eclampsia along with my existing high bp that would be extremely dangerous. for both of us. i try not to think bout this situation too much as it panics me an awful awful lot and i find myself crying buckets because i am terrified. even now i can feel the tears as i type.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

Oh that's scary! I think there is a way where you can wait to go into labour, so baby is ready, then have a C-section. You could ask about that?
high blood pressure isn;t necessarily a bad thing, I don't think.
Which plan would you prefer? Can you see if you can work towards that with some alternatives in case things don't work out?
When my baby was breech, I had to rethink my home birth plans and consider a C-section, which was the last thing I wanted but I had to consider all my options.
Maybe if you think it all through you will feel more empowered and less scared?:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

thanks skint. i'm hoping today they may be able to give me a few indications of what they recommend. tbh i just wants whats best for me and baby. i dont want to have to wait and see panicing myself over the next few weeks. when i google it all i get is worst case scenarios which is not good.
am gonna try some of the other parents forums to see if anyone else has been in the same situation. i know i;m not the only one who will have the same issues.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

jillie, not for the same reasons, but medically I had the c-section with Dylan as it was the 'safer' option. My consultant gave me the option of trying labour, but I decided to go with the section as it just felt more controlled IYKWIMThe two best things I have done with my life

WM - they sound like a right nightmare! Im so grateful mine are nothing like that, I wouldnt be able to not say something.
.
Yep. But the thing is i think the whole thing is unintentional, they just do not really think past themselves. Always going on about how they are sick of running around all the time. (nothing to do with Oh being in hospital). There are 24 hours in a day. They do not work. I just don't get it? But when OH has had enough and has actually snapped and said we both work full time, have a 5 year old, have to clean and shop, etc. They just huff back, like its not important that we have lives and our own mundane tasks to do. Some people are just blinkered and live in their own bubble. They just frustrate and exasperate me.0
