I had screening bloods last week (16wks) but didn't see a mw, an auxhilliary nurse took them. She just weighed me and sent me on my way. I was hoping i'd see a mw and hear the hb as so many seem to be lucky enough to get!!0

Actually, i'm not even supposed to be seeing a midwife after my 20wk scan but as they didn't have all the booking bloods results back by the time i had dating scan as it was the day after, they said to ask to see one after the scan. If i wasn't having that appt i'm not even sure when i'd next see one!0

Maybe it's my hospital or the fact that i have this double womb thing that they want to see me not sure. My mum wants to come but oh is ok but keeps saying this is our baby or is it your mum's. I think he finds it hard how involved all my family want be because he's are very laid back about being involved even though this will be this parents 1st grandchild. However with me being told at 21 due to endometriosis and my double womb i would not be able to have children, then two miscarrages. The can not belive it's finally happening also we are so close as a family. Wheres as he is not really not that close.Darling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j0

I've got my 2nd MW appt this week, but it was set back before my dates had changed. So it was originally around 16 1/2 wks, but now I'll only be 15 1/2. Don't they just have a feel and possibly a listen and there's not much else?top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Beenie - the NICE guidelines say you should have a MW app at 16 weeks so you could just book one. If she questions it say you read the guidelines and thought you were supposed to go.

Yep. THey do your urine, blood pressure, have a feel of baby and uterus, listen to the heartbeat, check you're OK and that's it. Same for most appointments to be honest.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Morning all
Sorry I've been AWOL for a while but I've been really busy getting everything ready - only 6 days until my due date :eek:
Everything has been cleaned, cleaned and cleaned again! The freezer and cupboards are full and I've even started baking
I must admit as much as I love mat leave and I couldn't face being in work I'm finding it a little hard trying to find things to do all day so I've been setting myself little jobs for each day as I can't seem to get into the relaxing thing, think I need to though.
Anyway, what have I missed? How are you all?You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
just a quickie - we're probably going to go camping for the August bank holiday. I'll be 23 weeks by then, so should be generally okay, right? I love the outdoors so only problem I can foresee is sleeping on hard ground.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

I'd have thought so. I was all right sleeping at 23 weeks, and still felt pretty normal and wasn;t too bumpy or uncomfortable.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j
