    Oh forgot:

Congratulations to Ell, her hubby and little Rhys, Home on Wednesday.:T
Good luck Molly, but hopefully you will be all done by now.

Glam, good luck with telling work about the new job.

Baby photos last night were gorgeous. Thanks searching and Mrs Moc.

Well after saying i wasn't having any time off yesterday. I'm at home now. DS is poorley with diarrhea. Up most of the night with him and he is confined to his room, with a star wars DVD at the minute. My mum coming to stay with him tonight while i visit OH. Hope he does not pass it on to me, don't think i can handle it at the min. Though it may be a change from the iron tablet induced constipation (sorry TMI).

Was ironing at 9am and have brushed up. Should mop floor really, and dust but cannot find the motivation.

Need to go and find something to eat for lunch. Don't think a twix will count will it?

    Oh !!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!

I have just found out that because I have been registered self employed for years, to cover myself when I do occasional SE work although I have for the last few years been properly employed, that because of that and because on MSE advice earlier this year I applied for a small earnings cert to stop paying Class 2 NICs, which I've paid for years until then, and because my sh1tty employer made me redundant when I was pregnant, that I will only be entitled to £27 MA a week :(

I'm crying now. I don;t know what to do. I can;t believe this. I tried calling the helpline but it said it's too busy to take my call.

I am still fighting for the JSA they owe me for December - i cannot take any more of this. I dont know how I'm going to tell OH. I'm so stupid. What am I going to do?

Hi Skinty - sorry I have no idea - keep trying the helpline. <<HUGS>>

Glam - good news about SMP and good luck telling your employer.

MrsM - they are beautiful pics Cliana looks fantastic.

Molly - hope we get some news soon.

Aless (I think it was you asking) - re camping I am hoping to go camping for my birthday weekend when I will be 25 weeks, I can't see any problem and as long as you are in this country you can always drive home if its an issue (unlike last year when we decided to fly to France and it poured with rain for the whole week!) we do have an inflatable mattress though.

I think this was all I had to say..... sorry if I missed anyone.

I just don;t understand what MA is for? I thought it was for people like me, who lost their job when pregnant so they don;t get SMP or employer's mat pay, but it seems it isn't.

You only get the standard rate if you were working in your test period, but I couldn;t get a job! I managed to get a contract but it ended just before my test period began, and after that I was 6 months PG and thought there was no point looking for work cos I wouldn;t get a job when I was PG.

I can;t understand what MA is for if it's not for people like me? I feel so screwed over by the system (again) and I don;t know how I am going to tell OH.

I just don;t understand. Isn't the system supposed to help people like me? It's not my fault I was made redundant.

Skint- on the website below they say you are entitled to it if you have been registered self-employed in the 26 out of 66 weeks running into the week before your baby is due

Yes but they also say they will count my wages as having been £30 a week, and will pay me 90 per cent of that!

I just don;t know what to do - am trying to find out if I can change my test period but I've already applied and sent in all my original forms so I don't know how I'd get those back.

Skinty, don't know what to say hun, hope you get it sorted out!

Jillie, have they mentioned an epidural to you? It lowers BP so they may offer you one and an induction or natural labour, closely monitored and c section if anything starts to get a bit pete tong. I managed to be induced with DS1 and my BP was a lovley 180/115 so it's not impossible if that's what you want.

Looks like my own consultant is back, got a letter for an appointment for day care and a scan next wednesday. Hope she gave that useless rude registrar a telling off!

I better go get some housework done I suppose.
