One is not amused, my GTT leaflet says I can't have ANYTHING to eat or drink from midnight tonight, not even water  What the hell???? I've to go up there dehydrated and wait till at least 10.45am before I can get a drink? That can't be right surely? No !!!!!!!g way, I need to drink or I'll not be fit to drive! :mad:0

Tia, I had mine this morning and they said sips of water after 8.30 last night. and no food. I heard them talking to someone this morning in the waiting room and they were asking him if he had taken gulps of water. Apparently gulps were bad but he hadn't so I don't know what the consequences were.
Surely dehydrating would be worse, especially in this weather. Is there a number you could ring or NHS Direct perhaps?
Good luck with it tomorrow, hope you are well
off to bed now

Thanks to all who directed me to Quidco - £289.30 since Nov 09 :beer:0 -
I've drank a 500ml bottle of water. My throat is a bit sore too so I can't go not drinking. Well, it's tough now. I also can't sleep... I doubt I have GD anyway, didn't have it in any of the other pregnancies and the 3+ glucose is probably more a blib, or due to one of the medications I had been taking.
Random, but I have just noticed how ugly La Roux is!
Off to lie in bed, too hot and not sleepy.0 -

trying to remember what things i had last posted..
wedding went as well as can be expected. well if you think the bride (sil) who is bipolar and not meant to drink any alcohol cos of prev alcohol abuse getting absolutley !!!!edis a good thing. i thought at one point we would be home by 9pm!
mw appt this week went well. BP is still really good and the same as last week!! heard baby heartbeat, got a kick just as i was asking mw if you can have a lazy baby (think i stress too much at work) and apparently i'm 'full' which i think may mean there's enough fluid around baby. wasnt measured as she only measured me last week and she siad they only measure every few weeks. will have my full 28 week appointment at the hospital on mon.
getting our pram/pushchair on fri! have got one from our market in Bury. Brand new £170 and it has the carry cot to make it a pram and the pushchair. we are going to buy the Britax carseat as according to their website it will definitely fit into the back seat of our car.
have used all my pampers coupons that ran out 30/06. ots hard to know how many of each size to buy... so we bought a few different sizes. at the moment i have
2 x newborn 4-11 lbs (54 in total)
1 x newborn ( huggies) (27) 4-11 lbs
2 x newborn pamapers 6-13 lbs (70 in ttl)
1 x active fit 9-22lbs (84, big box)
should we have more of the newborn style? are they meant to fit a newborn better??'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
I think I have bought a couple of different sizes of nappies, but like you I am really not sure what we need!
That's a great price for a new pram if it includes the carrycot. Be careful with the car seat - we bought the Cabriofix one and the info on the website about mine and OH's cars were both wrong.
When you say the midwife measures you, what does she do? I haven't been measured I don't think. All she does is feel my tummy.
Off to work now - will catch up during the day if I get the chance! x0 -

nappies- am trying to buy enough so hubby doesnt have to rush to ASDA to buy more in the first few days that we have baby home.
there is a shop right near us that is a registered Britax dealer/fitter so we are going to try the car seat there. they will try it and then you can buy. if that doesnttfit it will be halfords cos they do a similar service but have a larger range of car seats.
when mw measures me, (sound like an expert lol) she uses the measuring tape and measures from top of my womb down to top of my pubic bone. i have a chart that was printed that estimates what size baby i 'might' have and if i/we are growing accordingly. she marks on that then what i measure so we can see if i am too big. just right or too small.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0
