Glam - I still eat ice cream, even though I have the GD. I buy magnum type ones - so that it's portion controlled - and eat it directly after a meal. It doesn't mess up my sugars. The first couple weeks you'll be experimenting anyway to see what puts them up and what doesn't. And what you can substitute to give you leeway to have something "naughty" in exchange. lol

I am hoping to feel a bit more clued up on it after I see MW tomorrow. People think it's sugars but it's more carbs - my mum said she just eats more protein. My problem is I don't like veg or salad!!!
    I need portion control deffo!!!

Believe me, I had thought of it. If dad hadn't spent an entire day trying to sort it out and having all the replacements delivered to his house to help me out I would have. But he has been a godsend lately and I don't want to seem ungrateful by asking him to do it all again with a new set.

I bet if you asked him he'd rather you didn't keep rubbish. We bought a babystyle one in the end, me and my friend put the cotbed together in 15 minutes. :D

    I'm off for the night.

Hope MM's had a good day but must admit I'm a little worried about Mrs Moc. Hope she's ok.

I was told if I had carbs, to balance it out with protein - like bread with chicken or egg - that kind of thing. I can't go too far on the veg or salad due to restrictions from diverticular disease - so I'm fairly limited as to what I can or can't have. It's a bit of a balancing/juggling thing the first couple weeks, but trust me - if me with no willpower can get my head around it, anyone can! LOL I have a classic case of pregnancy brain going here! haha They'll probably give you a booklet that has "good stuff" and "bad stuff". The only thing I raised my eyebrows at was how many times they recommended Special K to me. Was actually reaching an ongoing joke level to me - they wanted me to switch from my cheap store brand corn flakes to more expensive Spec K, which I refused to do as my sugars in the morning were just fine. (I imagine they have it in their notes that I'm an uncooperative cereal person. lol)

That's just it, if they can get it right it will be lovely, I just want them to hurry up and sort it out cos I could really do without the grief at the moment, its too hot, I have a short temper and I have far too much on my plate to be worrying about stupid little things like this.

Do you think I would be pushing my luck if I suggest the £180 pushchair chassis might be suitable compensation? Obviously it wont cost them that much but it could save me a lot of money that I don't have since I've still got to pay for the new fridge freezer.

Yes, I keep wondering about MrsMoc - all I can think is that she had to have the section and just hasn't had chance to post yet!

I'd been wondering about Hypnonu but she popped on today!
