Ooh thanks Cinny - no that Tala one doesn't seem to have the tin, which was the thing I mainly wanted... but that one you gave the link for looks pretty swish, I like the stencils. Another silly question - I guess all the nozzles and bags etc are universal, ie, you don't need to always buy the same brand so that it fits your particular bag/gun?

Ooh, I've been thinking investing in an icing gun too! I was looking through Nigella Christmas at the weekend and I'd quite like some edible gold dust as well :)

Ah, the elusive REAL north - I'd love to spend a few weeks travelling around up there. Also, I'd really like to go to Pembrokeshire, but mainly because I saw a friend's photos and she saw loads of puffins! The countryside in the South (the rolling Downs and Cotswolds) seems rather tame compared to the Peak district and Wuthering Heights territory!

ETA: I made Nigella's pear and ginger breakfast muffins last week - they were lovely! And I'm choosing to believe they're healthy as they have fruit in them and no chocolate...

They sound healthy to me too Poddle!

I'd love to try some of the edible glitter, looks so sweet on cupcakes. Tete, I think the nozzles are universal. I haven't bought any extra than the ones my icing-thing-a-majig came with, but the ones I've seen look roughly the same size.

Been dreamily looking at Flats this morning. Found a lovely Flat in my hometown for 67k, all Georgian with sash windows and some others in a block of flats I've been lusting after for years. Nice to have a nosey around inside via pictures :D OH is being mardy and not playing along saying 'we shouldn't look until with have the money' Where's the fun in that?!

Going to look into some high interest fixed savers tonight, be nice for 'moving' money so I won't be tempted to spend it. Going to enter some comps tonight as well. Try and win myself a new phone!

All this cake talk is making me want to bake. Might get some stuff in asda tonight.

I have given up looking at flats , makes me frustrated lol! Need to speak to my sister and find out what she is doing. I think she may move out in October as thats when her bfs contract comes up for renewal.

Well I've been into town and bought a plastic syringe thing from Wilko's for £1.49, I'll see how I got on with that then may invest another month when I don't have an MOT hanging over me.

Poddle I think ginger speeds up your metabolism and is full of anti-oxidants or something ;)

I had one of those a few years back Tete, they're quite good for what they cost!

Just about to close shop at work so I thought I'd do a quick update. I class this as end of the 'day' - no more shopping temptation - so this is my 3rd NSD in a row! Things are looking good for my NSW anyways. Planning on spending tomorrow afternoon running, pilates session and then do the ironing while everyone's at work so can't see that being a spend day either.

    List for tonight:

Complete all surveys in my inbox.
Draw up rough budget for next week.
    Write shopping list for Friday.
    [STRIKE]Look into cheap phones.[/STRIKE]

Only thing I need to get so far for Friday is some conditioner. I've seen Asda are doing the Alberto Balsam range on 4 for £3 so I think I'll grab a few different ones to switch about during the 100 day challenge to stop me getting bored :o

Blimey that icing gun on Amazon looks scary! I think OH would run out the room screaming if I got that out! I really want to bake and ice things now though! The only problem is having to eat everything once you've baked it... not good for the flab situation!

Dad came in from work and saw my icing gun on the table and said "What's this? So you can inject buttercream direct into your veins?!" I think he might be on to something!!

I rarely eat my baking Birdie, after you see all the butter and sugar that goes into things you get pretty put off.

Tete, tell your Dad it's just a quicker way to eat left over icing. My Dad actually did that, it was quite horrific.

Went to do my budget but I can't sort it until I know when my brother is going to start paying my board

Currently sat with a weird cornflour mixture on my face, meant to tackle spots! If that fails, tomorrow I'm going for the oil and hot flannel treatment!
