:rotfl: at your Dad, Tete. All this baking talk is making me feel better about being sat down with a choccy biccie! Cinny your NS ways are very good - I love the barter system especially. And the homemade face mask is impressive, you'll have to tell us if it worked well.
I'm going home on Thursday for the weekend, can't wait until the end of the week. How's your exile going Birdie? Are the people nice at the new place?:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
I rarely eat my baking Birdie, after you see all the butter and sugar that goes into things you get pretty put off.
Hmmm, that doesn't bother me funnily enough, and I love the raw mixture best
You'll have to let us know how the cornflour goes, I guess it must dry the skin out?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
If the cornflour face mask is no good I've heard good things about using milk of magnesia, I've used it a couple of times and seems to make my skin feel quite nice! Also ground up asprin with a bit of face cleanser is supposed to be good for spots as the asprin works as an astringent and with it being ground up you can use it as a scrub too! Can you tell I've spent a while reading the OS Health and Beauty tips!
Exile is OK really Lara, the people are nice to me although I'm kind of struggling to get my head around the work, I hope it makes sense soon!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
I'll give the asprin a go Birdie! I've got the most horrid break out - right on my cheek. Never had a breakout there before, it's normally just on my forehead and a fringe fixes that! Eugh, being a teenager is awful.
Glad to here the new place isn't too bad Birdie! If it was me I'd enjoy all the 'me' time in the evenings, plenty of time to read! How's your OH getting on with Harry Potter?
I'm feeling pretty bright about not spending any money, was fun making the face packs rather than just heading to town for one. The cornflour worked okay, took a while to get the mixture right. Only left if on for an hour (most told me to leave it overnight) and it made my skin pretty smooth and the redness went down on the spots too so I'm really not going to complain!
Just finished watching Desperate Romantics on BBC iPlayer so I best get a move on. Convinced myself it was Tuesday and I didn't have to be up in the morning, but the truth has just dawned on me :rolleyes:0 -
Just taking a break from work, it's been none stop today.
Woke up this morning and the cornflour mix has really worked, taking out some of my spots and my skin tone is pretty darn even. Going to do an overnight one tonight I think, should tackle the rest of them.
My Vepsa is now filled to the brim, just over a gallon went in, and it should last me until next Wednesday at the earliest. And all it's ''cost'' me is a few hours cleaning a car on Saturday, me and Vessie are chuffed!
Just checked my credit card balance and it's cleared :j Can start saving again as of this weekend, still need to ask my brother when he's going to start paying my board. Itching to get the budget sorted.
List for this afternoon:
Running for 45mins
Pilates
Ironing
Stay away from the biscuit tin
Got a list of shows I want to watch/catch up on on BBC iPlayer so that will keep my laptop screen filled so I can't just 'curiously' look at topshop online. Starting to get that 'I'm sick of my clothes!' feeling, so on Saturday I'm going to get everything out of my wardrobe and try putting new things together to try and create 'new' outfits.
Just over an hour until hometime, best get cracking with the invoices. Have a nice day everyone.0 -

I was quite disappointed with him when I got home last Friday because he's been telling me for months that I'm the messy one and if I wasn't around the flat would look like a show home... it looked even worse than I left it because he'd just spent all week reading and not bothering to clean up after himself! I hope it'll be different this week!
ETA: Well done on clearing the credit card and good luck staying away from Topshop! I know that 'sick of my clothes' feeling all too well!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

:rotfl: You've definitely created a monster! I'd have been chewing my arm off not being able to eat until eight, how annoying! Can you not get room service sent up on evenings like that?
:T Well done on clearing the CC Cinny! Do you feel a weight off you knowing al your spare cash can go on savings now?
I'm trying to get back into my MSE ways - Quidcoing and Dooyooing - I may as well while it's quiet at work!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I feel a lot better for it! It was kind of sad to use my savings to clear it, but I can really get into building them up now without thinking '£xx needs to go on the credit card' plus I have £450 owed, which will be a nice boost whenever I get it!
Kind of spurred on by moving in with OH savings wise (not for another 4 years, but still) I was looking at mortgages yesterday and even just a 65k mortgage we'd need a 20k deposit! Crazy.
I need to get back on form with dooyoo ect too Tete. I've managed to get another 5,000 points on Toluna though so at least I'm doing okay on one site!
Want to start entering comps again too, in the vain hope I win something fab I can cheekily give to someone for ChristmasWent to have a word with my sister about 'spending little' on each other this year, turns out she got me a Cath Kidston bag!!

I would but there's only one other chap staying in the hotel with me (next week there will be 4 of us) and I feel a bit bad ditching him all night so I can eat in my room! Room service sucks anyway! I had some Bertolli baked crisp thingies before going swimming (which are scrummy by the way!) so they kept me going until 8!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. What, really? Yikes! At least your repayments would be low I suppose...I would but there's only one other chap staying in the hotel with me (next week there will be 4 of us) and I feel a bit bad ditching him all night so I can eat in my room!
Ugh, you see I wouldn't like that having to be sociable either, I'd want to have my tea and go to my room and read/watch TV in my jim jams - that makes me sound such a misery doesn't it?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0
