I love ikea, will be taking a trip down there when we get our own place. At the moment i just buy candles lol.0

I've been itching to Ikea go for months, I'm limited to my bedroom so I can't get much! I have been known to buy scales and whisks in a fluster and try and pass them off as gifts to my mum. First thing I want to do when OH gets his new car is make him take me to Ikea.. just so he gets to have a good drive of the car of course.. even more so if he gets the 5 door Renault he likes (I think it's £90 a month over 5 years interest free) Think how much stuff I could get in there?!
Hows the property hunting going Wendz?0 -
I LOVE the kitchen section in Ikea. I have way too many food containers that are necessary
I'm lucky that my sister isn't too interested in shopping! But to be honest, I'd rather go food shopping than clothes shopping. Which is weird! But I think that's because I'm not happy at the weight I am, so clothes shopping isn't always a fun experience!

Well the property hunting has ceased really. Plenty of flats I would love to rent but until my sister has decided on what she is doing we can't hand notice in. Not really a problem though as is slightly cheaper for us here, sharing between 3.0

I hope something gets figured out soon for you Wendz! Anyways, in the time it takes your sister to get sorted something really lovely might come up to rent!
Went into town to do the lottery for me and OH, decided to take £10 out the bank and use that seeing how I needed to get some kitty food. Only planned to spend £5..
Cat Food: £1.97
Asda Good for You curry (reduced): £1.40
Lottery Tickets: £4
Scratchcards: £2
Total Spend - £9.37
Avoidable - £4.40
Here are my excuses:
I was only going to put mine and OHs numbers (1 line each) on for tonights draw, then decided I mareswell put them on for Saturday while I was at it so I could make Friday a NSD. But still, and avoidable cost for today!
Again, I was only going to buy one scratchcard to sneakily post to OH in attempt to cheer him up, but saw another £1 coin winking at me from my purse so decided to have one too (I could have won £3,333!)
And lastly for the readymeal, Asda seduced me with their stack of chilled yellow labelled food. I was helpless! I decided what I really needed was a Balti curry for my dinner, plus in a way I did actually save money there (admittedly only 60p)
Good news though, OH managed to pick up a full day shift at work, so he's managed to earn back a few hours he lost by Reggie breaking down.
Right, off make my super early dinner and read Martins new email, have a nice day!0 -
I wouldn't say £4.40 is a massive overspend so don't worry! And who knows, you might win the lottery!
That must make your OH feel a bit better that he's managed to regain some of the lost hours/money.
I love curry, but it's so fattening from the takeaway. I found some recipes on here though from someone called Curry_Queen so I think I'm gonna give them a go. Luckily, my OH hates Indian food so I hardly ever have it. But £1.40 is a bargain curry, enjoy it!Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

Walking home I was thinking 'This time tomorrow I could be richy rich rich!' Doubt we'll win a penny though, we always seem to get the first ball then nothing else!
The curry was only 348kcal, and said 'low' on all the salt, fat ect. Didn't get much of it though, my sisters dog knocked my water over just as I'd tucked in, so I put it on the arm of the couch where he couldn't reach it (he's only a chihuahua!) while I fetched a tea towel and when I came back he'd tugged at the fleece it was on and it was all over the floor. But what I did have was nice! Good luck with the recipes too!
Worked up already, quite glad as I'm knackered!0 -
That sounds like a fairly healthy curry! I'll have to look into them. How annoying that you didn't get to eat it all! I have a cat at home who is so annoying whenever there is food about. She can be asleep and as soon as you touch foil she's awake and at your feet.
Any more news on the car situation? Or are you just waiting til the weekend to find out about the one your OH's mum is gonna lend him the money for?Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

She's just lending him money for the extra on car insurance I think. He's found a garage near his house that is doing 0% finance over 5years so he's pretty keen on that, he rang up about a car but they said to ring back on Saturday as they're just waiting for one repair but he's going to look at it on Monday hopefully! It's a really lovely car too, 5-door Renault Megane RS.. I think!
My cats are, thankfully, only allowed in my room (they jump from the roof through my bedroom window) so I've not have any feline helping paws while I'm trying to eat!
Asdas Good for You range is really nice, me and OH had their Korma one before with just normal rice. With samosas and mini naans, was lovely! Pretty low calorie too for a tea.0 -
Right, been looking at trainfares for my Dads birthday. I've found return tickets for £39.20 for him and my mum to go, perfect! Will try and pre-book a place for them too go to while they're there. I've seen the hop on hop off bus tours which would be an idea. Hmm! I know it isn't until October but the sooner I plan it the cheaper the tickets are!
Will book next weekend once my CC is paid off when I get the train tickets for London.0
