OH knows about the diary, I think he's read it once or twice but I'm not sure. That's why I'm always no nice about him
He's actually signed up, but that was for when he was dead chuffed with some boots bargains and he wanted to share! :rotfl:
I've been pestering OH since I was 13 so I don't see him as being years older than me as we act the same age wise! Must be because us girls are all mature and grown up and whatnot.
Tescos were pretty quick with the £20 payment I made on Thursday, it is a refund I'm waiting on though and they do take a while sometimes? I'm not looking forward to the congestion fine though, cause it's going to go up and all my little payments will be squashed!
ETA: Just done my daily check for London Train tickets and they're coming up at £56.10 for 3 of us to go. That's like, £30 cheaper than what I was quoted for the same times last Thursday. Will have to check with my sister first but I'm tempted to get them booked now.0 -
Bless him being excited about Boots bargains! I've just realised that actually my OH is a little MSE in a way, cuz he never buys anything without looking for where he can it cheapest first. :T
My OH is pretty immature so we do work out at the same mental age I reckon. I think I'm more mature though!
Yeah refunds do take a while. I bought some stuff last week, they have delivered the items, but not charged me yet. They're usually quick to take the money!
That's a good price for the tickets, did you get them?Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

Not in the end, waiting until the end of July to book. Will keep on checking everyday though, might go down a tad more!
OHs car has completely died. RIP Reggie! Mad panic now as he needs a car to get too work. Been looking at carcraft and we might be able to get a good deal. This is the last thing we need. Urgh! Might not even see him this week now
I just need to save really hard, clear this CC and spend as little as humanly possible. Simple, Right?0 -
Ah Cinny that sucks. You two aren't having much luck what with the congestion charge as well. Hope you manage to get a good deal on a car. Are carcraft second hand cars? Cuz it might be worth seeing if you can get a good one from a private owner.
Lol, on paper? Simple. Actually carrying out said plans... not so simple. Good luck! It'll be fine, just things might take longer than planned. :rolleyes:Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

Thanks Zig, I know we'll get there, it's just a massive pain  I think I'll focus on the congestion charge fine, get it all paid off then OH won't have to worry about it for a while. He can just focus on the new car ect.
Plus I can't find any packing paper.. anywhere! So I'll have to sneakily wrap my book up at work in the morning. I think I'll head to the post office where I work before heading home tomorrow, means once I get home I can bury myself under the duvet and ignore the fact we'll be getting ourselves into yet more debt. Great! I think you're right Zig, we're pretty low on luck atm!
After all this I didn't manage to get my budget sorted, I'll get it done tomorrow! I'm really craving sugar.. surely one biscuit wouldn't hurt? And a cuppa..0 -
Seems like when everything is going Ok, something always comes along to ruin your plans.
Hope your OH manages to get a new car OK.
Think you def deserve a cup of tea and maybe a little biscuit too, i have been rubbish so far today.0 -
That's nice of you to take the pressure off your OH by paying the congestion charge. Maybe you'll be lucky and it'll only be £60!
Keep positive, it won't be that much more debt, if you can get a good price on the car, and at least you'll have one then and you won't have to worry about the old one breaking etc. And you're now due some good luck so maybe your OH will win a ridiculous amount of money and you can move out in a few months! :j
A cup of tea and a biscuit (or ten..) sounds like the way forward. You can tell why I'm overweight, everytime there's a crisis I reach for the biscuit tin!
Console yourself with the fact that I have just had pizza and chocolate (I didn't feel well enough to cook, but I have no excuse for the chocolate) and it has reacted badly with my tummy. Bad times.Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

Thanks Wendz, I doing that horrible thinking the other day of 'Everything's really good atm, something has to go wrong soon!' at least I can be happy in the knowledge I was right!
I had chips and curry for my tea Zig, so I think we're in the same boat food wise! (although it was homemade, don't know if that's any healthier?!)
Feeling a lot better today and less doom and gloom, not sure how OH is holding up though, he's lost about £200 in petrol money and quite a bit of overtime because of Reggie dying on us. But what can you do? Tried looking for something last night but I think OH was a tad too stressed so he's going to have a proper look today.
I hope you're right about our luck changing, putting our old numbers on the lottery this weekend so you never know!
Decided to be a bit more productive this afternoon rather than sulking about, so here's my list:
Enter new comps
Daily clicks
Work out budget
Do the ironing
Aim for 30mins on the treadmill
Also, I think I can manage to pay another £20 off my CC this week before payday too, plus £25 on payday so I might be able to get it cleared by next weekend! :j
ETA: The £25 has cleared! £75 left to go now.0 -
What a pain about your OH's car! Just make sure he doesn't get carried away when looking for a new car and signs his life away by agreeing to get a loan for more than he can afford over far too many years!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

He's looking at a 3k loan atm I think, he'd be able to get a good second hand car for that and the repayments won't cripple him. He sempt to be in a bit of a better mood this morning but I can tell he's got a case of the grumps coming on now. So I'll just steer clear of the subject for a few days.
I'm so sleepy! thought I got a good nights sleep last night too, off to make a coffee!0
