    Morning all :hello:

PP - I hope that DD's party is a success! I'm sure it will be with all the planning that has been put into it.

FunkyFairy - nice to have you back!

jw - I hope that your self defence course is a success. I did one quite a few years ago at school and it was really good.

TM - enjoy your retail therapy!

Everyone else: stop making me envious of your yummy food!

Having said that, OH is just building himself up to make me a bacon sarnie for my breakfast. I popped down into the town yesterday for milk and picked up some bacon from the lovely butchers' shop. The town has two butchers, the one that I go to and the other one that isn't so fantastic. Then again, I think most people would fall over backwards at the other one, it's just that I'm used to this superb one! (OH wants me to point this out)

It's the farmers' market on today, so we'll be popping down into town later this morning. :D Don't know what we'll be getting, but lots of nice things, no doubt.

The rest of the day will be spent building up to the Grand National. I'm not putting any money on, because my mum gambles enough for the whole family. :D

Have a good day all

Need to get dressed in a minute and go and pickup my new buggy from the couriers that dh bought me as a suprise from ebay. Unfortunately he didnt tell me it was being delivered so I went to the trafford center yesterday with MIL to try and get her a outfit for a do shes going to, I have never met anybody so fussy.

OS wise I've got some defrosted mince to use which I'm going to turn into as many dishes as possible with the help of vast quantities of veg and abit of imagination

    Morning everybody :hello:

Well I haven't done a single thing yet this morning! I just about woke up at 9:00 but didn't wake up properly until 9:40, and now I'm still tucked up in bed watching TV :D It's always a danger when I start watching Saturday Kitchen because I end up not getting up properly until it's over at 11:30 :o

The good news is that I'm no longer completely out of cash in my weekly food/general budget - cos my night out yesterday at a concert with my GBF did not result in me spending as much money on post-concert drinks as I'd expected. It was his round to begin with anyway, and the pub we go to had a new deal where you get a 4 pint jug of the guest ale for the price of 3 pints (we always get through 2 each)! So instead of spending £5.50 on a "round" (2 drinks) I just had to sub my friend up £1.50 and we're even :D

Which means I can go out and buy a few bits later - I'd planned a trip to Tesco but now I think about it, I need to take several pairs of shoes to get fixed and the cheapest place is in the other direction, near Somerfield. I might have a bit of an explore anyway, see if I can get any bargains for the freezer. On the other hand I did want to go to Lidl (anyway) which is the same direction as Tesco, though perhaps I can do that tomorrow.

Lots and lots to do today. My room looks like Anthea's worst nightmare - the cross between a student hovel and a junk tip (I kid you not!) so some serious tidying and cleaning will have to be done but TBH I'll probably do that tomorrow. Need to get a couple of loads in the WM and I have no idea what's for dinner tonight - it depends if I find any goodies when I pop out to the shops.

I'll probably watch the Grand National to see if the horse I picked in the office sweepstake gets anywhere!

PP - hope the party is fab _party_ _party_ _party_ :D

TM - enjoy your shopping :D

FunkyFairy - I couldn't remember whether you'd said you were going away, but I did notice that you were gone. I was on my way home on the train last night and the thought just popped into my head - "wonder where FF's got to? Hope her DD's arm is OK".

Right, must get stuff done now :o

    Hi everyone!
Would never guess I'm back at work again would you!!!
It's sunny here at the mo' so shall take full advantage and meander my way home via the library and perhaps a quick peek at the charity shops ;)
Managed to pick up the Robots DVD for the small person's birthday next month for only £4.99 so am well pleased :T
I think I shall make some Easter nests this afternoon and then have a big snooze [well it seemed like a good idea to stay up reading my book until midnight last night but I seem to be unable to remember that I still have to get up early the next day  ]
I'm making cauliflower cheese tonight and having a bash at making rosewater truffles rolled in white choc and pistachios in lieu of Easter eggs for my parents.
    Have a great day

Morning everyone! (It's still morning, isn't it??)

I am glad to hear you got a good nights kip PP, you'll have a fab time at the party. Hope that goes well.

I'm not long up...well, I actually got up around 5.00 am and considered doing some housework but talked myself into getting back into bed and reading Sainsbury's magazine. Some of those recipes look yum yum yummy! Of course I fell asleep again...

BTW for anyone who's interested there is a voucher in the sainsbury magazine for a free cut and blowdry. It's a bit inconvenient for me as the hairdressing salon decides when your appointment is, and the nearest participating salon is about 30 miles away, so I'm not going to bother - but some of you out there might find it a useful offer.

There was heavy hailstones yesterday, and a whole bunch of them have just bounced off my window. And there was me thinking of going for a nice long walk - not on your nelly in that weather! I do have lots of housework to do (left over from last week, and possibly the week before) and have a ton of college work to do as well. I really can't be annoyed with shopping today so other than dropping some recycling off I'll be staying put in the house (unless the sun shines and I might go for that famous walk).

Bye everyone, have a fab Saturday.

Made a dozen breakfast muffins and put two loads of washing out on the line.

Have four books to post that I sold on Amazon - will try to catch the post office before it shuts.

DD has friend over so will have a lazy day.
