What about putting water on them to soften them? We do this when the kitten finds the biscuits too hard, well more when she was a baby really but it worked well.0 -

Washing is out on the line, dh had better bring it in later.
Not a lot else to report!
Oh except Gordon Brown saved me a fiver. My tax was supposed to be £105 for the year but when I got to the post office it was only £100!I must have a cheap car (VW Polo) cos it cost my friend £97 for 6 months!!!!

Start of the day was good as my £29.99 leather faced computer chair arrived this morning. Great no more bad backs using a directors chair :j Husband said I could have the new chair even though he is paying for it :rotfl:
Then my husband broke off a tooth from his plate. Another £15 for it to be mended:rolleyes: Asked the guy how long the plate/dentures should last. He was told 8-10 years. Well his plate is at least 11 years old. And when he asked the guy about costs of a new one. He reckoned in the region of £180  Better start saving me thinks.
Then we spent some money buying a couple of merchants chests from focus. Got home and found broken bits and bits that don't fit. Out of the two we bought, husband has managed to make one. He is gone back now to exchange the bits and I said to him to ask for some petrol money. As he has to make a special journey to get the unbroken and no fitting pieces replaced. Worth a try even a £5 as good will gesture. As it is a 14 mile round trip at least. I know but you don't get unless you ask.
I told him to tell them that he does Quality Assurance and Inspection for a job and that if he sent out items like that he would get shot.
Not got much else done to today with being out and about. Not even my OU oops will do that over the weekend.
Everyone take care.
Yours

Afternoon all
Gosh, what a busy hectic day. First time today I have managed to log on so apologies, I haven't really read any posts properly - I hope you are all doing good and those of you that haven't been good this week are feeling much better!
I knew it was going to be a bad one when I got half way to w*** this morning and realised that I had left something at home..... So off home I went. Missed the train so had to wait for the next one.
Had an argument on the phone with some guy about something w*** related - aaaaaaggggggghhhhhhhh (that feel much better) then all schedules changed for next week so I had to reorganise diaries etc.....
My other mum came in for lunch today which was nice - good to catch up as I haven't seen her for a few weeks!
No breakfast – again
Lunch - not OS at all with hockey mum coming in.... Chicken teriyaki from restaurant at work - £2.55
Tea - HM chicken parcels with sin free chips.
Really looking forwards to the weekend, and going to try out my easiyo bargain! Plus I have lots of seedlings to plant on!
Is it too late to start potatoes?
Have a good evening everyone - those of you with new bottles of Wine  (lucky devils)
Take care

Evening
Feeling a little better this evening:D and hopefully I will be OK for tomorrow when me folks are visiting for the day!
3 washloads done today including bedding change for DD & us and all hung on line. DW emptied and cleaner has been here so house spotless.
OH has done wonders to the back garden and looks lovely neat and tidy-I even managed to sit out there for 20mins whilst having a cup of tea, and it was lovely getting some fresh air! DD read through some of her homework to me whilst out there, so she got a chunk of that done too.
Received my 1st Elle magazine this morning, which I bought through here...3 issues for £1 and its normally £3.60 each...must remember to cancel my subscription next week though...can someone please remind me..LOL..as I will forget!
Other freebies today were 3 more fabric conditioners, a hair shampoo sample, and the free Rimmel lipstick. Also, received my 4 Avon conditioners using the £5 voucher on here ATM, so it only cost me the price of the P&P.
DD & I currently watching Chronicles of Narnia which is now nearly finished and OH is in the bath having a soak as he's worked hard today bless him.
Anyway, got to go and finish watching this film, then I want to have an early night tonight as folks are getting here at 8am:eek: and need to have a bath in the morning too.
Take care all and hugs.

really want to go shopping and buy some new things - but you always say - i wont buy anything new until ive lost some weight!!! really have got to get up of fat bum as another week has gone by:eek:
Bargainrzl - love G&T's too, have run out of tonic - have just opened a bottle of red from my Virginwine collection (as last) blimey - its a bit ropey, but after 2 glasses you dont care!
Did go to lakeside, but very good went into bank and straight out, then matalan looking for my laundry basket (didnt have it), then went and had look round the Asda Living Store (havent been in one of them before)
quite nice, didnt have laundry basket either, but got that summery duvet cover (in this months asda mag) for £10, looks good.

Dora
sorry to hear your kittie isnt well too.
We've just had fun getting antibiotics in fred. I normally pin him between my legs to do it, but obviously can't do that at the moment. I've also got to give him painkillers in his food, so its tricky making sure my other kittie doesn't eat it by mistake.
DH is away for the weekend working on BBC1 politics show putting in some lights. I'm hoping that i can cope all by myself with the cat stuff. My sister is going to come to visit tomorrow to help me. She passed her driving test on Monday apparently. She kept it quiet in case she didn't pass again, but i sure will be grateful of the extra help.
I think i'm going to have a small glass of wine tonight to destress. I know i shouldn't really, but i think a tiny bit won't hurt.
Have a nice weekend everyone.

Morning all,
Up early again.
I have just made myself a cup of tea and am sitting here catching up while the children are still asleep.
Not up to much today might do some gardening.
ANyhow i will catch you all laters0 -
Morning FF!
Im really tired, I woke up this morning and thought, excellent, its sunday, I can stay in bed.... The alarm then reminded me that indeed it was Saturday, and therefore I had to get up for w**k!
Its boyf's first day at w**k today, he has to be there for 9.30am for his induction. He isnt sure where he has to go either - ive told him to go the customer service desk as thats most likely. He's pretty tired today too, but its his own fault for ruining his sleeping pattern before he starts daytime w**k!
I spent a large proportion of my evening cleaning last night as the flat was looking a bit messy, it now looks lovely, so I dont have loads to do when I get back from w**k, and I will have an hour or so to myself before boyf gets back. I think ill spend the afternoon sewing cushion covers and watching some tv as I havent had a lot of time to myself this week, ive been rather busy.
Anyway, id better go and make sure boyf wakes up, would want him to get fired on his first day now!
