Ebay Buyers, Do they make you STRESS?? VENT IT HERE!!

Anyone buying or selling on eBay must find this chat forum useful.

Does anyone find eBay stressfull at times.

I always send my winning bidder a nice, "Thank you for bidding and winning" And then a friendly, "Item despatched " e-mail.

I always explain "If you are dissapointed or unhappy with your purchase please contact me first before leaving Neutral or Negative feedback as I will refund your payment if you're not happy.

I wrap in tissue paper with a little ribbon. (Nice Touch, I wish what I bought from eBay came gift wrapped)

I have been selling for over two years. I pride myself on on my 100% positive feedback. And every other-day check my feedback received. It's great.

I sold a pair of GAP jeans, size 12, New With Tags. Sold for £0.99

Just got my first NEGATIVE !! It says "Should not have bought size 12!!!" No Longer 100% positive!!! Due to this member of the PUBLIC

I emailed the buyer saying that the feedback was unnecesary, they are a size 12. They replied saying, they had put on weight since bidding!!! (What a joke)!!!!!!!!!

I had to leave the room, get away from my computer before returning feedback   :ee

I left Negative Back, that will probably get lost in their positive. Have left a message for withdrawral of negative. No reply...

Do you sometimes feel the same?

Hubby is the same as you when selling. Thanks buyer for their purchase and informs them when item/s have been sent. Asks that they get in touch if they have any problems at all before leaving f/b so he can sort them out. It only takes 1 idiot though to spoil it all. A while ago he sold a 7cm high bear. Was listed as 7cm. Buyer paid promptly so Hubby gave a pos and sent item. Then he received a neg from buyer saying, "Item arrived but smaller than expected" When hubby mailed him to ask what was going on he said he thought it was 7 inches.....not cm. He hadn't read auction properly. Buyer wouldn't remove feedback, he was happy with his pos. Now hubby doesn't leave feedback when selling until he knows the buyer is happy. Either by getting an e-mail from buyer or buyer leaving feedback. If none is left at all than thats fine too.

When selling, I would never leave + positive first, I wait. As a seller allow returns, if not happy. What more can we do??

I really truely feel you pain, I felt anger towards the buyer just by reading your post  . what feedback did she have, and what did you write for her neg? If it were me i'd reply with

"gave me a neg, just becuz stupid cow was too fat to fit in a size 12!"

ah i feel better just by writing that. :D

The most annoying negative I got was on Amazon. It said something along the lines of "Great item, but website is very hard to use. Very difficult to leave feedback". I emailed him to ask him why he negged me and he said he thought he was leaving feedback on the whole transaction, not just the item I sold, and the transaction had been marred by the fact that Amazon marketplace was not that easy to use at the time. Grrrr!

I know the feeling! I got my first negative because someone had the cheek to sell me a copied DVD (and no it didn't say it was a copy or I wouldn't have bought it) and I left them a negative!

It said 'best avoided' well of course I'm best avoided if you sell copied dvds I aint gonna buy em am I!

I was recently selling some pet food vouchers.A woman won them so i invoiced her and she emailed me back saying she'd bid on them "by mistake".I therefore sent a 2nd chance thingy to the most recent bidder and they didnt reply.it gets me mad though cos i darent leave her a neg as i ahve 100% positive feedback and she could wreck it by negging me back!!how the hell can you bid on something by mistake?!!

There's no point in the feedback system if you're afraid to leave justified feedback.

Yes, people retaliate, but think of the next person whose auction she wins 'by mistake'

I feel your pain, I have yet to get a negative feedback but I take a lot of pride in providing cheap goods and I ship them the day after the auction ends if I have received payment and I send them emails to thanks them for payment and to let them know its been posted.

The thing that annoys me the most is when I email them they don't always reply to at least acknowledge me, however I agree about feedback I wont leave it until they leave me mine.

i got my first negative after 1300+ positive feedbacks (over 4yrs) because i opened a non-paying buyer dispute. the buyer decided to 'retaliate' by leaving me a neg

Totally agree with that. Hubby always leaves justified f/b be it pos, neut or neg. If they neg in retaliation then a calm factual reply comes across much better than their hasty retalitory (sp?) neg and makes them look like exactly what they are.....bad e-bayers.
