We live too far out to use the post office often, but whenever we do they're friendly. They even seem to like us using paypal postage because it's quicker.

I remember when I was growing up and the post office in Denbigh was awful- my parents tried to avoid it as much as possible because the staff would always question everything and harumph about the place. That was a "proper" one as well, not one in a shop. This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.

The one I use is in someone's house (converted utility room!), complete with washing machine going behind the counter :rotfl:They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -

I had two POs which had closed down, so the current one which I use (a bit further away) is always a 30 minute or so long queue. It is in a town centre, but the staff varies. The lady who moved to this PO had worked for one of the closed POs before, so I prefer her service, but there is one or even two that don't do their job properly. One does not give POP just the last receipt, so have to figure out which is which. :eek:0

Well, they are only open 3 mornings per week, but I do get the local gossip whenever I go lol

We have had a few threads like this one over the last few weeks about the poor service from post offices and the contempt some seem to have for ebay sellers.
What makes me laugh is when you see the news reports on t.v that royal mail are struggling, well of course they are when they are quite happy to spend 10 minutes waiting for an old dear to count out the price of two second class stamps from the pennies in her purse then get stroppy with ebay sellers for coming into their shop on a regular basis with 10, 20, 30+ first class, recorded and special delivery items.
With 15 million registered uk users, and millions of part time and fulltime sellers ebay sellers should be royal mails primary target customer aside from corporate customers, they should roll out the red carpet and offer discount if more than x amount of items are despatched via the sellers local post office per month, a kind of loyalty reward scheme.
Instead they choose to treat this huge modern customer base with contempt, and then wonder why local post offices are struggling,
It's because we are all at the main office where we don't get the attitude, idiots..... :rotfl:0
