  • Hi

Will be nice ones you pay off the last of the loan.

I always think it would be nice to get a job but with OH's hours it's not doable. OH works shifts so does one week earlies and the next late's and works every other weekend so I can't get an evening job or a weekend job. Before I met OH I used to have 2 jobs, I worked full time doing Word Processing for a University and worked 3 evenings a week doing Data Entry for a Pet Insurance company, I really enjoyed doing it and would love to do something like that now.

Are you still selling stuff on Ebay? I need to get cracking and get some more stuff listed but just can't find the motivation at the moment, my office is a tip and I really need to sort it out 'again'.

OH's brother and sil had a baby girl yesterday, it is their 7th child, think I would go mad with that many children.

I've done the Euromillions for tomorrow, it gives me a bit of hope, would be happy with £100+ but only seem to get the smaller amounts.

  • Ooh cakes, are they chocolate ones?

I know the feeling about keep checking, I'm always checking my credit card statements online late at night, have done a few balance transfers so keep checking to see if they have gone through, one is MBNA and I need to make a payment of £121 by 4th so will have to make a payment on Monday if the transfer hasn't gone through by then.

I have a headache today so am not doing too much, just cooking dinner then will watch Home and Away on Fiver at 6.30 and then give the kids a bath and watch Eastenders at 7.30, then when they are all in bed later will sort out the clothes that are in the Utility Room.

TMD - they were indeed chocolate ones!! he has made them every night...i have put lbs on this week!! NO MORE CAKES!!

saying that we are having chinese later (home cooked style!!)....ooopppssss i really need to grasp this healthy eating thing!

Made another £6.00 on ebay...i am experimenting with buying things and seeing how much profit i can make etc. Seens as its coming up to easter i bought some bunny ears 50p each....and the first one sold for £2.76!! Might purchase some more tomorrow and see if they go.....but its £2.49ish profit anyhow!!

Not much else to report in payments. Loans all go out this week.....its a tight week this week but then a nice relaxed 3 weeks to make overpayments wherever possible!

Having a chilled night in tonight and will look more at moeny tomorrow me thinks.

  • Ooh nothing better than chocolate cake - yum yum!!

I ordered a bit more stock for my Ebay Business account, have found some more stuff to Ebay while I've been tidying up today, OH has taken our 3 girls out and is not back yet. It's been great having the place to myself. At least the place is looking a bit tidier, just need to have a good clean round this week while they are at school.

Had to take DD2 to A&E on Thursday evening as she put a largish sequin up her nose, they couldn't see it so we had to go to Northwick Park hospital yesterday and she had to have a camera put up her nose, she was really brave and I'm so proud of her as she normally panics a lot. They could see it anyway so it must have either come out when she was panicking or she must have swallowed it.

  • Morning!!

Well its gloomy outside but im a happy chick this morning!! Probably wont be later when i have a large pile of ironing to do but hey-ho!

April is fast approaching and therefore so is the extra weeks wage!!....I'm going to budget the next few weeks and am hoping that along with the loan that naturally ends in April we will also end the sofa loan with DFS!! ggggrrr. I know we should really pay off highest debt first but by doing that we give ourselves more disposable income every month - £160.83 to be precise.

So thats the plan of action me thinks. I know its a pain in the bottom but getting our head into this debt and seeing it reduce is very addictive and motivating. We were talking yesterday about our lifestyle once we are over this debt and I am so excited to be debt free!! We will be able to put a large amount into saving each month and still have enough for daily bills and treats. Because lets face it we are currently spending around £1450 on debt repayments a month!! Oh well thems the breaks.

    Todays plan:-
    • Pack 3 items i sold on ebay ready to post tomorrow.
    • List another 3 items on ebay.
    • Get the washing and drying done....maybe iron...but that can always wait:rotfl:
    • Nip out to the shops for essentials
    • get a bit of cleaning done
    • do my budget plan for the month ahead!

  • Wow, that is a lot to pay to your debts.

I found a lot more stuff to Ebay yesterday when I was sorting out so want to try and get at least 10 listed today. It's pouring with rain here although looks like it might brighten up soon.

I am going to find out how much I would get for my Endowment if I cash it in early as I could use the money to pay off my debts, soon it won't be linked to our mortgage. I pay £57.04 a month and have done since 1996 but still have 11 years to run and it's not on track at the moment to pay off what it was meant to originally (took it out when I got my own house before I met OH). If I can get £7/8k I'd be happy, would put £1k into savings and pay off my smallest credit cards so that I don't have so many (have 8 now I have the Asda one).

Might ring Prudential tomorrow and see what the surrender value is.

    Morning!!!

1st of March!!! The start of a month long healthy eating for me and OH!! Both aiming to lose a min of 1 stone!!! We shall see how we go.

Sat and did a plan last night....so basically we now have a 4 month plan where we pay all bills and spend £50 a week on food/baby things....any extra pennies we earn through OH overtime / ebay will be put into the savings account and our target is £1300!! That would then give us the option to pay something off or continue to keep that there as a rainy day fund. I know the said thing is to pay off debt but i also feel like it would take some stress out of the situation to have a fund just incase. Then once that is over the next 4 months should bring the same at which point we def would pay something off.

Major loan payments have gone out today....which means debt is reduced!! wahey!! And by my calculations just a final payment of £78 to lloyds loan next month and that loan will be gone!!! :T Awesome!!

So ther weather looks fab today, plans are:-
    • Nice healthy walk to the PO to post off ebay items.
    • Quick job search.
    • healthy lunch
    • Playday with DD.
    • SMILE!! :D
    • Type up neatly the 4 month saving plan
    • Make a little graph for the march weightloss plan!
    • Put 2 things on ebay!
So best start my day with a nice healthy breakfast!
Will be back later to see how many of my 8 things i managed to do!!

Have a lovely day debt busters!!

Wow, you have done well to get most of the stuff on your list done.

I rang Prudential earlier today and they said that the surrender value of my Endowment today is £10,195.30, I was amazed as I thought it would be about £8k, my dilemma now is do I cash it in, do I wait a few more months until I've paid for 14 years exactly and then cash it in. Can I cash it in now if it's linked to a mortgage (although won't be soon as our Fixed Rate ends in June and we are going full Repayment).

I could really use the money, my MBNA card is costing me £116 a month in interest and I have 7 other cards all with interest.

I posted on the Endowment board so hopefully someone will have some advice.

Would free up £57.04 a month too to pay off a debt, I just want to be debt free and then can start saving.
