Hi there
Sorry haven't been around much, been busy hunting Go Go Hamsters stuff for the kids (got all their Xmas presents now which is a relief).
It's a free listing day for private sellers on Sunday (15th) so am up late getting stuff onto Turbolister.
Congratulations on your wedding, hope everything went OK and hope the sun shone for you.

Hi there. Must be the time of year as I have not been on here lately to read things either. Hope all the debt busting is going well. When our gas was changed over from NPower to BG - got a £216 refund from NPower from being in credit!! Very pleased as helps out this month's budget. Also had a sale on GreenMet - first one so very happy with that too.0

well i thought i would pop on quickly as although not much debt dusting apart from min payments going on...I am pleased and excited about signing up to the 'pay £20k by dec 2010'. I am going to throw myself into this challenge....just the thought of being 20k lighter next xmas is awesome....realistically i might not make it but im going to give it a jolly good go!!
have been really good today and bought a cooked chicken £3 some potatoes £1 and some veg £1. And instead of indulging in the usual £15 saturday night take away we are having a roastie!! yum yum!!
Anyway i am hopinh this is me on the start to focusing back on my debts....will update my sig either tonight or tomorrow, once i have done the number crunching and work out where we are at the moment!!
speak soon x0 -
Afternoon all!!
Well as promised to myself I am back...and i come armed with figures!!
I sat down last night and looked at what was left on everything...i have just done a revised Snowball...based on min payments only....as times are tight just at the minute and will be for the next few months i think.
So i feel positive that based solely on minimum payments our debt free date will be July 2013....now i know this blows my goal of debt free by 30....but still a nice thought that it will only be 43 months if all we can do is carry on with minimum.
Another positive i found last night was that although when we both took loans / car finance out they had interest on them...all the loans have now reached that point where the interest has all been paid off, and now the full amount that we pay is dropping off the loan total!! I know its a bit backwards...because we have already forked out all that money on interest paid....but its a bonus from here on in!!:j
Positive feeling number 3 came in the realisation that the totals on 3 of the loans are actually less than i thought...so i magically lost around £1500 last night - woohoo :T
So like i say snowball set up and away we go.
I have started putting money away into my saving account....and will continue to do so.....when there is a large enough sum in there i will pay half off a debt and keep half as emergency money.
Have signed up to the 20k challenge and updated my sig.
Back with more news soon!

So i have just put £20.19 off the hsbc cc...which gets me off the mark for my main focus this next 12 months.....the 20k challenge!! Hope to see this running total rise slowly!!
Also just done my sums and since my LBM on 29th April 2009 (just over 7months).....i have passed my first 10% mark....actually having reduced our debts by 10.05% - £6150.02. Not bad really after also getting married in between!
Anyway...i am going to peel myself away from my debt busting desk and go make abrew.
Speak soon diary readers.

Wow, you are doing great again. I think I shall have to wait until New Year before making a plan or action.
