Really - No more daft than your other pro-PPC posts on here. A quick search reveals that you have had your a*se kicked resoundingly on this subject before.

    pogofish.

You truely are a first class knob.

If you advise people like this I truely hope that you bear in mind the consequences of you rash "professional " advice.

As for the a*se kicking I think its plain to see you are just looking for an arguement & I will file you under first class knob as above.

You do know that your "professionalism" can cost people:

    MONEY
    TIME
    SAFETY

But hey. Just ignore the facts.

Surely the PPC is contracted to issue the fine, thus the debt is with the PPC and therefore the debt is not the college.

"Students who owe money to the University do not receive their marks and are not permitted to progress or graduate until the debt is settled"

They dont owe money to the Uni, its a fine from a PPC thus unenforcable.
I all have learnt is from others on many sites.
    Seek legal help if unsure.
Dont pay Private Parking tickets - they are mere invoices.

    PRESS THANKS

Exact same phrase used by the bloke in the very sad ill fitting Matalan suit.

Jumping on someone elses' bandwagon regardless of facts suits you.

I do bear it in mind - Every time I stand with a graduating year group, who have all settled their debts and earned their degrees. I've never seen parking cited as a reason for witholding an award to any of several thousand students, through several institutions in over 20 years.

I've also seen the back of a few PPCs and permit systems in the same time. Even on a staff contract, institutions just don't want to know.

You go and get some facts now.

    See ya! :)

    Of course you do pogo.

Thats why you know exactly what's written in the OPs daughters college handbook about parking policy.

Mystic Meg would be proud of you.

    Lottery numbers please.

Its a shame you chose to write "That might be an issue for the permit, depending on just who issues it" & then ignore your own comment for the rest of your posts.

If only you would read your own posts & then remember what you wrote..

But hey the OP can guess all the facts and forget about everything because pogo says so.

Thank God for intelligence on Earth.

That is simply not relevant - She answered any questions about the provenance of the permit and is now dealing with UKPC, not the college and there is nothing your misdirection can do to change that fact.

She can also search out all the other threads on here about them for herself and make her own mind up about what kind of operation they run.

Takings down this month maybe? :p

But hey the OP can guess all the facts and forget about everything because pogo says so.

I don't think I'm the one singing so loudly about the quality of my advice BTW - Maybe you should look in the mirror?
  • Oh God Pogo...

    You are so funny.

Giving advice out without any facts is always such a clever thing to do.

    Face it.

You know nothing about this example & you got it wrong & jumped in head first yet again.

No information but the same old line.

    One size fits all..

You don't know what I've checked, do you?
    West Kent Student Handbook:

    Students are expected to:
be present and equipped to participate in all timetabled learning sessions and all other activities linked to their course of study
be punctual at each timetabled class and other associated activities
work to the best of their ability and demonstrate an appropriate attitude to work so that they are able to demonstrate satisfactory standards of progress and to produce good quality work
pay all monies due to the College on time
achieve and maintain a high standard of personal behaviour and co-operate fully with all College staff and other students.

Note - That is the college, not UKPC. nor any other third party contractor.

There is also more, which will confirm that college sanctions only extend to cancellation of the permit for students.

Now crawl back under your stone please.

So you finally do something constructive.

    A little research.

But you were oh so insistant that it wasnt needed.

Go bury you head in the sand & on the way there have a think about slating complete strangers who have valid, constructive advice for the OP.

These are the people you want to insult, ridicule & bully.

All I said was check the College policy.

Nothing wrong with that, its VERY good advice & there is nothing you can/could say constructively that would change it.

& you mate have serious problems if you feel if its acceptable to post like that & not expect a comeback.

Try having a look at the real world for a change.

I am fully aware of the legalites of private parking tickets.

I am also fully aware that students & employees also have responsibilities to both their educators & employers to behave, to imply otherwise is simply stupid & childish.

(edit addition) & while I am at it. I never said to pay the ticket. I never said he should deal with, write to, converse with UKPC. I never said the ticket was legal. In fact I never said anything other than check the PARKING POLICY....
