I'm completely lost there. Perhaps I'm thick.
My post was an addendum to the one which quoted 'Lillyisthingysuper herocomicthang' in which I likened the prevailing actions to a 'protection' racket.
Your comment also seemed to fit perfectly, shortly afterwards.

Pogofish you are 100% correct and the student should not be paying this invoice as it IS a worhtless piece of paper issued by an equally worhtless company. As for Cambridgeshire trying to enforce their petty little rules, they would not have a leg to stand on should it go to court! It would never be pursued as far as court and would never affect the student's credit rating etc.0

Of course he is 100% right.
Because within the parking legislation there is a specific paragraphs to include contractual agreements between student & college & also employer & employee.
Also, it also states in paragraph 36547.654a amended 2008 that parking permits should be issued to everyone across the board to every Tom, !!!!!! or Harry & can never been withdrawn, no matter what the circumstances.
100% right my a**e.
:rotfl:
He is right on 1 point only. That the fine/invoices/ticket is a worthless & pointless piece of paper nothing else.
As for Cambridge University, I think you may find conditions of their education depends on students following rules. If they dont follow the rules they are are up in front of a bunch of people who decide if they are out for breaking them.
Its got absolutely nothing to do with your understanding of parking law & is a completely different matter.
That is something that Pogo does not understand or choses to ignore. Not Again0 -

Oh the irony.
Pogofish, why are you wasting time on this !!!!!!! idiot ?"There's no such thing as Macra. Macra do not exist."

I don't think idiot is quite the word. There is maybe something else afoot here?
Anyway, I'm not going to add to its problems any more.0 -

Ah.
Another MSE bully who wants to throw insults about to complete strangers who have valid & good advice to give the OP just because it doesnt fit with their own agenda & misunderstandings of rules, regulations & law outside of parking legislation which you all seem to think overides it all.
I just read some of your previous comments in other threads.
You like the "oh the irony" line dont you.
Tell me, if all the staff at Tescos parked at the front of the store when they worked & also parked in disabled & family spaces what exactly would happen to them apart from getting useless bits of paper shoved on the car?
IDIOT.Not Again0 -
This is a money saving forum, so why do a couple of posters continually insist that the O.P's daughter should pay this invoice when she doesn't have to. Unless of course vested interests in the Private parking industry colour the spurious advice they are giving.0
